    one is clear, problem is dancing around Cable_3

    BUT! Can someone explain why it works in combinations A1+B1 and B1+A1?

    next test will be A2+B2 and B2+A2

  • zero problems when connected just single cable to each Si2169D,

    almost all combinations tested

    A1+B1 - OK

    A2+B2 - OK

    A2+B1 - OK

    A1+B2 - can't see reason to continue


    just one guess,

    maybe inside the tuner has been stuck some bridge from previously used Internal Loop-trough

    what logically cancels idea about `Internal Loop-Through`,

    can't believe option `Equal-To`, also previously used, can be guilty, but what else..

    2. till now, i thought signals under 10dB can be defined as weak.

    most of 19E are between 11 and 15dB, just few transponders are under 10

    and 36E have between 12 and 17dB

  • I didn't mean the MER in dB that's not relevant, I was talking about the input gain. Also you could check if your satellite outlet is interfering the signal (to high crosstalk between the connectors) if you are using twin outlets.

    I can only speak for my setup, I don't have any signal drops with Si2169D, but I don't have any outlets, all cables directly connected to the LNB.

    why problem isn't gone?

    resistance of the cable_3 is hugely improved and became even better than cable_1

    most popular LNBs are Octo, which are cascaded through 4x1 switch(protocol 1.0) and 1x10 some 1x8 (protocol 1.1)
