I have a Dreambox device 920 and has a very high temperature, so it's 90 C. Please see the solution?
Don't cover the the vents from the housing.
Where do you measure the temperature ?
cat /sys/class/thermal/thermal_zone0/temp is the temperature from the CPU die (Chip).
The device is in good condition. But I feel it has a problem with the device. I measure the temperature in the terminal order
Chip specification allow die temperature over 100°C
How much is your average CPU load?
Between 78 to 86
I discovered with many researches that nobody's temperature was set to this value
How many and which tuners you have in your dm920.
Have you a harddiskdrive in your box?
Which temp has the hdd?
Is the temp in normal use (show tv) or while you record to or play videos from the hdd?
In normal use the temp on my dm920 is 67-69 °C.
1 has a tuner s2x FBC tuner
No hard drive in the device
Your CPU load are unusual high. Please check CPU load by tasks, or take a look to a E2 log.
As a example, i now someone had a high CPU load because high CEC traffic with his TV. Changing the CEC settings was the solution.
My load on DM900, during box is running on a encrypted channel (SRF (Switzerland-TV))
14:50:12 up 24 min, 2 users, load average: 0.01, 0.03, 0.05
14:59:01 up 33 min, 2 users, load average: 0.00, 0.01, 0.05
Ok. Then i would say, that your temp is a little bit high.
In what using is your temp.
