Troubleshooting

    The Security Chip (SIM Card under tnuer) inside the box doesnt seem to work. It's loose or not a original dreambox (a.k.a. clone-box from china).


    You should contact DMM about it, there isn't much what you can do I guess. Trying to fix the Sim-card yourself may not work and you could lose waranty, so DMM should do it for you ... if it's a clone box from china, you are lost!

    I am quite sure, that you have a clone box as the sim card in the originals is clued as far as I know. If you can "put it in place", then this is not the case for your box ---> Clone.

    juzst because it's from london it does not mean it's original box ... I know at least 2 china-clone seller websites from london, so ....


    There isnt much what you can do, like said that security sim card doesn't work correctly. It's normaly fixed with glue so you can't fix it yourself without risking to damage much more from card or reader, so DMM or your dealer should do it for you. And if it's a cheap clone box from china, you are lost anyway if you see that message. Then you can't do anything with that box anymore ...


    That sim card helps to protect software against those china-clones and normaly works fine, for sure it really suxx if you have a original box and problems with it, but instead messing around with it, send it in to repair and then you will have it back quickly. For sure you can also try to fix it yourself, by removing sim-card, cleaning reader and card and then put the card into the slot again ... with some luck it will work again ... but if not you are in trouble :smiling_face:

    Thank you for your reply but still sure to have an orginal dreambox800.
    My problem is
    1- when we started we have this message (CA not found)
    2- on the same time on the back sight two indicator lamp
    green and orange is luminous (Lan jack)


    3-it is possible that the technician had change my simcard


    3- it is possible with the s/n to know my box it is original or no

    AGAIN: The SIM- Card is CLUED to the slot, it can NOT be changed. If it is not clued, then it is a Clone.


    The LAN- Lights are no indicator about any functionality.


    If it IS an original and it sais CA not found, and you are not able to reflash then you HAVE to send it back to get it repaired.


    So: I don't think that you can do anything else about it.
    The serial alone can not give any hints about clone or real box, as a serial can be easily faked...
