How to read a SKY italy card in DM8000

    Hi,
    This is my first card with the DM 8000. What do I need to know?
    Where to insert it exactly? and which way is up? :upside_down_face:
    Do I need to add any hardware or software to the 8000?
    Can someone please explain the procedure?

    I am asking how to use a legal sky italy card in the dm8000.
    You said use a CAM. could you elaborate please. which type of CAM? is CI the same as CAM?

    the internal cardreader is not able to read all cards.
    It only supports the "Dreamcrypt" System.
    No Conax, Nagra, Videoguard, ...


    With non-official Images is more possible. But this things are not allowed to discuss here.


    The CI is the Slot there you put in the CAM. And there you put in the Card.
    But not all cards will run with all Modules.


    But I'm not really an expert for this. I only watch Free-TV

    Why don't you go to the special DM8000 VIP site and ask your DM8000 questions there?

    DM8000HD: what does it change if he ask there? Nothing! We have a dm8000 section here, so it's not wrong to
    post here.


    Salsoolo: afaik it's still the same: there are no modules available for nds.
