I have DM7080 with 3,5'' Hard Drive. Now I bought DM920 and 2,5'' Hard Drive, because 3,5'' don't fit in it.
What is easiest way to copy whole (1,4TB) content from one Hard Drive to another?
Copy whole HDD content

-
NFS Mount and cp -RP
-
more easy, but slower:
open Exporer at windows PC and drag and drop the files from
\\dm7080hd\Harddisk\movie
to
\\DM920\Harddisk\movie -

Yes, it's a telnet command.
On a mac you can connect to a server. Dreamboxes should actually show up on the left side automatically. Otherwise connect to a server (cmd + k)

ANd from a hardware perspective, it's fastest to put the 3.5" drive into an USB-3-enclosure and connect it directly to the 920's port...
-
ftp between the 2 DMs is fast too
-
USB 3 is much faster than Ethernet 100 of the 7020...

Only if you have an external hdd case at hand. If you need to buy one you're faster wirh everything else suggested.

Thank you all for recommendations. I found one more solution.
Inside DM7080 is two SATA ports. I've connected new Hard Drive to free SATA port with external power.
Dreambox found it and I did formatting, mount etc.
With GP3.3 eCommander I can copy files from old HDD to new one.
Is it slow or fast solution?
