Use ftp from PC to Dreambox

I am trying to just do a quick none custom build

I am using WMWare workstation pro and linux distro is debian 10 strech.

300Gb disk 4Gb in ram

I have cloned the git and installed all required files without any errors.

Than I just run the make -C opendreambox image as a test to check all is working.

But i get this error: I cant figure out what I am doing wrong

This box is made just for that purpose "Streaming" It is also proper Google licensed so you can install apps legally from the Google Play store

You can also easy stream all channels with Picons and EPG from your Satellite/cable/Terrestrial Dreambox so this box is a very good buy

To answer your questions in order.

There is no need for an computer to install any IPTV Plugin but it depend on 2 things.

1. Image If you use the Factory Image there is no IPTV plugin

2. But other images have them usual in the plugin feeds.

The of cause a Computer is always to prefer since most plugins can be fast setup from a computer

While using the RC takes some good thumbs

And Yes the dm two is excellent for IPTV but maybe a bit over kill if you are not going to use all the amazing Satellite functions.

The i would recommend the DreamTV mini UltraHD. That's an perfect box if you are only going to use it for Streaming and IPTV

Well with the risk of getting in to trouble again. I am bumping up this issue. And really don't get why none of the DP developers like Reichi or Ghost have not made one single comment about this?

As I wrote earlier, If this problem hade been with some German TV Channel all hell would have broke loose. But since it seems to only concern Scandinavian users and special Swedish users

this seems to be neglected.

You always get the IP/host information when you put your Dreambox into flash mode on your TV Screen if correct hdmi port is selected.

You must provide a new password before you can access the box from Telnet/ftp.

Menu >> Setup >> System >> Password >> Enter new password.

The use root as user and your new password as password and all works just fine.

Have you just try and remove the sd-card and start the box.

Barry Allen can't harm your box and you should not even be able and boot into Open ATV with Barry Allen

Have you checked the most simple solution ?? check that the network cable is proper attached in the box.

Take it out and put it back into the socket.

Let me guess that you are trying to hide and show those widgets because they are not showing proper when you watch IPTV??

Okey i have figure it out and you are correct and as I also said that I am in no way surten it's the MP causing the issue.

But after testing on a new fresh image I started and install all the plugins one by one and still no issue all works fine

So went back and did install Image Peter Pan again on my DM Two. when done i did run the software update to get all the last updates from DP

Here i could see that systemplugin VideoMode hade an error and did not install proper.

So i checked the folder for the plugin and it hade a hardware.py file that was not in the fresh image so must be some leftover or something

Really does not matter since the fix is easy and the problem is solved

So did delet that python file and did a manual apt-get remove and install of the plugin and all works just fine now

Well i will test your suggestion and as i wrote I can't say that i am surten it's MP causing the issue only that if i remove MP all works just fine.

But i have worked on adapting some plugins to DreamOS.

SubsSupport also working with .srt subs on OE 2.6

Peter Pan Mediacenter have been around longtime.

It's not standalone plugin. It's only a plugin that keeps all your media plugins sorted under one menu.

So have no real function other then keeping your main menu clean

There is 1 plugins that can be in conflict with your MP

World Cam since both plugins are using Youtube API

But i will take your advice and flash a clean image and see what is causing the problem.

And as i also wrote in this post I was not sure it was Mediaportal causing the crash but since it was the last plugin I installed

I removed the plugin and all works just fine.

The later Svein H made the comment this issue could be related to the autoresolution plugin so i did try his suggested fix

And then installed MP again. For sometime it looked like all was fine. But then out of the blue same crash.

So my next step was to remove the Autoresolution plugin, MP, gutemines feeds

Full reboot and only install MP back. Still the same crash.

I also did like dre suggested and reset the media database.

So I cant still 100% say it's MP causing the crash. But i can say 100% sure if i uninstall MP all works fine and i have no issues.

But if you need the full crash log it's attached now
