@Reichi
THANK You very much!
after execute `apt install tzdata-europe` time for Riga is corrected now
and all other GMTs+2 too, except Kyiv shows GMT+0
my guess, filename `/usr/share/zoneinfo/Europe>Kiev` doesn't match
to `<zone name="(GMT+02:00) Kyiv" zone="Europe/Kyiv" />`got again network = none after first reboot,
but in case box were recently reflashed
i didn't restore network watchdog script from rc.local yet
and can't show any logs@dhwz
where else i have to ask such kind of questions?
i have made apt update + upgrade, saw there is waited fix in the timezone.xml
but result were completely opposit -
no update YET
writing again just to write something?before update
Coderoot@dm900:~$ root@dm900:~$ grep "GMT+02:" /etc/timezone.xml <zone name="(GMT+02:00) Athens, Istanbul, Minsk" zone="Europe/Istanbul" /> <zone name="(GMT+02:00) Bucharest" zone="Europe/Istanbul" /> <zone name="(GMT+02:00) Harare, Pretoria" zone="Africa/Harare" /> <zone name="(GMT+02:00) Helsinki, Kyiv, Sofia" zone="Europe/Istanbul" /> <zone name="(GMT+02:00) Riga, Tallinn, Vilnius" zone="Europe/Istanbul" /> <zone name="(GMT+02:00) Jerusalem" zone="Asia/Jerusalem" /> root@dm900:~$
after update
Code
Alles anzeigenroot@dm900:~$ grep "GMT+02:" /etc/timezone.xml <zone name="(GMT+02:00) Athens" zone="Europe/Athens" /> <zone name="(GMT+02:00) Minsk" zone="Europe/Minsk" /> <zone name="(GMT+02:00) Bucharest" zone="Europe/Bucharest" /> <zone name="(GMT+02:00) Harare, Pretoria" zone="Africa/Harare" /> <zone name="(GMT+02:00) Helsinki" zone="Europe/Helsinki" /> <zone name="(GMT+02:00) Kyiv" zone="Europe/Kyiv" /> <zone name="(GMT+02:00) Sofia" zone="Europe/Sofia" /> <zone name="(GMT+02:00) Riga" zone="Europe/Riga" /> <zone name="(GMT+02:00) Tallinn" zone="Europe/Tallinn" /> <zone name="(GMT+02:00) Vilnius" zone="Europe/Vilnius" /> <zone name="(GMT+02:00) Jerusalem" zone="Asia/Jerusalem" /> root@dm900:~$
also why "Riga, Tallinn, Vilnius" were split when all of then live together in the same EET ?

ffffffffffffffk
replace /usr/share/zoneinfo/Europe/Istanbul file were lot safer methodi replaced "Europe/Istanbul" by "EET" for line "(GMT+02:00) Riga, Tallinn, Vilnius"
by example from "(GMT+01:00) ... "CET" zones,
and now box doesn't start and also not accessible trough telnet and ftp -
congratulations! problem reported two years ago and still not solved
OE2.5 wrong Time for most GMT+2 time zones (OE2.0 ok)ay4488
if md5sum of your /usr/share/zoneinfo/Europe/Istanbul
is b1c006ca56cc9eb051d67fecdcb39b85 then replace it with older one from OE2.0 images -

what i have wrote, i have had inactive network also without onreboot.service
but during last year i just avoiding deep standby cause this lottery
and also cause one of ten times box freezes with blinking red after deep standby or reboot -
It was caused by my @obi cited onreboot.service from Post # 18. It is still active in the current image and after the box is booted 120-150x without network error.
Nice that we could help.
opposite Reichi i can't see what exact problem is here,
maximum, when it can be repeatedhave never used `onreboot.service`

this problem came with OE2.5 update
first ~half~ year with older OE2.? on dm7080sstt i didn't had such problem
after another half year i sent this box to RMA,
but in case they didn't able fix it i received dm900 with Twin DVB-S2
interesting what idiot on DP side decided as customer, who have sent box with four tuners,
will be happy by receive cheaper box and with less count of tunersRouter: MikroTik CRS125-24G-1S-IN
Ethernet cable have seen: dm500 -> dm7020s -> dm800s -> dm8000sstt -> dm7080sstt -> dm900sst

dm8k had dimmable LED
as temporary solution will try execute
echo "00">/proc/stb/fp/led0_pattern
when Idle activated -
today i got RED LED ON after installed LED-Manager
strange default settingsactually i installed it to check, is there any ability decrease brightness,
i's too bright at nighttime, would prefer just some 30% -
Just wonder that there were no messages from users yet
i'm reading with interest, but i went different way power save
Dreambox is always on, but it controls what other devices can be send to zero consumptionadditional hardware - 2x EnerGenie EG_PM2_LAN
additional software -
1. EnerGenie EG-PMS-LAN control utility
2. ExecuteOnPowerEvent plugin
3. my script which sends power ON / OFF commands for 230v sockets with TV and AV ReceiverCode: /usr/bin>egctl_tv_av_receiver.sh
Alles anzeigen#! / Bin / sh # MartiniB # # turn on / off TV & AV receiver #ln -s / usr / bin / egctl_mips / usr / bin / egctl [-L / usr / bin / egctl_2] || ln -s / usr / bin / egctl_arm / usr / bin / egctl_2 killall -9 egctl_2 case "$ 1" in on | off) egctl H2 left $ 1 $ 1 left ;; esac exit 0
and second script is started from cron, it turns completely OFF PC's monitors
Code: /usr/bin>egctl_pc_monitor.sh
Alles anzeigen#! / Bin / sh # MartiniB # # turn on / off PC monitors #ln -s / usr / bin / egctl_mips / usr / bin / egctl ln -s / usr / bin / egctl_arm / usr / bin / egctl killall -9 egctl PCIP = 10.0.10.1 if ping -c 5 $ PcIP | grep -qs "100% packet loss"; then egctl H1 left off left else egctl H1 left on left fi exit 0
with dm8000 i were able use lot cheaper device -
EnerGenie PCW_MS2G
cause there was working Cooler socket -
sometimes you have to force people to new things.
when things are better and easier, why not, but what when they aren't obvious?
how can i install package which isn't present on the feed
