Hi

I want to I want to take screenshots with my DM7025. The dreambox-dvb-tools-1.0 package has a program called grabpic. It tries to open the /dev/video file but it doesn't exist on the DM7025. I compared showimage version 1 with v3 (the one for DM7025) and it has several differences. Can someone give me some hints on how I can port grabpic to the DM7025, or tell me another method to do a screenshot?

Hi!.

Well i use this file fbshot, to make OSD pictures. Its made by a guy called Seddi and works fine. This maybe can give you clue ;).

Copy the binary file to usr/bin/ and then write this in a telnet window:

fbshot /tmp/testbild.png

Then you find the picture in /tmp/.

Thanks for this binary. When I try to grab a picture with it, I get a nearly transparent picture without background video. Is there a way to capture video as well as menus?

No, it's technically impossible to get both at the same time.

Did you receive a clean picture? I tried it with

root@dm7025:/media/hdd# fbshot -d /dev/fb/0 test.png
Framebuffer /dev/fb/0 is 1658880 bytes.
Grabbing 720x576 ...
done.
Writing test.png ...done.

but the the On Screen Menu is only visible in the background behind some transparent grey blocks.

Use Windows' "Paint" to see the correct colors on PNG
