I'm prepearing to buy a Blu-ray Writer (Sony BD-5750H) and I want to be sure that latest firmware of 8000 supports it. Is there way to check in 3.1.0 kernel support of this hardware http://www.sony-optiarc.eu/pro…imlinebdxlwriter5750.html?
The main target of this buy is to burn BDXL discs(100GB). Because of my hard drive is full at 8000

I order this burner. Today it's shippedfrom the USA.
So in a few weeks i can say more if it's supported.
Would be nice if DMM has the DVD-burn plugin soon bugfree and running with BDMV support. (i got it working now , but DM8000 crashes and result is only first 2 minutes of HD recording in BDMV)
I suppose that we can use a BD-R drive, when bdmv is not working, you can always use it as 100Gig data disc.
(you can also transfer files to computer by network)
