Please provide some information about the hard- and software used.

GUI (enigma1/enigma2): enigma1
Firmware version release 2.9.0, 03.05.2006

Here is my question: I have internet problems and loose connection very often it takes 1 min or so and then back; but when this happens I loose my DM500 picture. and I have to restart it to get it back. Is this online internet connection needed or is there a way around ?
