never mind I found it in the onlince pdf file documentation; is user root and password : dreambox just in case you don't know.

DM500 box, I cannot find anywhere the password for root user. anyone has any idea ?

Firmware version release 2.9.0, 03.05.2006

Here is my question: I have internet problems and loose connection very often it takes 1 min or so and then back; but when this happens I loose my DM500 picture. and I have to restart it to get it back. Is this online internet connection needed or is there a way around ?
