DM7025TT - Logical Channel Numbering (LCN)

  • Box type:DM7025 TT
    GUI (enigma1/enigma2):2.1
    Firmware version:81006

    your question

Here in Australia all DVB-T STB use "Logical Channel Numbering ".

This means if you press "7" on the remote it will goto digital channel 7 rather than the broadcasters physical VHF freq on digital 8. LCN info is sent in the Data stream but the STB must support it.

LCN is regarded as an australian market compliance feature so is it possiable to have "Logical Channel Numbering" implemented as a setup menu feature??

Thanks for a great box, the DM7025TT with a 350gig hdd is just magic

  • Or if this is not possible, would it be atleast possible to specify the channel number so that a dreambox can be manually set up to use the same numbers as the provider .. for example, BSkyB first channel is 100 - it is possible to set up my channels in the same order as Sky, but the numbering automatically starts at 1 !

  • Logical channel numbering is assigning channels to preset position according to the data provided in the stream. LCN is not used on DVB-S only DVB-T services

What trumpton is talking about is has nothign to do with Logical Channel Numbering. Do not get channel lists and LCN confused.

Cmon guys please do not ignore this issue, or at least reply so we can tell our customers that the DM7025 is not compliant to DVB-T standards with confidence
