.XML loadup

    I just arrived in Australia and need to get the DM 600 running. I have a problem setting up, need to know the following:



    • What sattelites to select - Optus C1 seems to be the most publicised here and is in the list.
    • I cannot load the .XML files as there is an error trying to find the .xml files, I can get these from the following address: http://satellites-xml.eu/ but maybe there is a better solution?
    • I would like to upgrade the software and any other info to latest version but dont have serial cable, is there another way to do this?
    • Once I have the box setup, I need some info on the hardware configuration, I have the sattelite dish, LNB (not sure what type to use) and internet access...what do I do from here?


    I appreciate any support you can offer.

    as i remember this method also work, just check befor what IP box got from the DHCP


    in satellites.xml you have to setup at least satelite title and orbital position
    particular transponders list requered only as prompter for autoscan, then try scan manualy set transponder

    Thank you Moby, the DB is connected through the LAN, I see the IP is 192.168.0.4 I am unsure under which folder to enter this address so I may need your further help again. Please be patient as I am only a beginner :smiling_face:
