Dream Multimedia Error -> i need help to boot on TFTP !

    Hello,


    i have a problem with my dreambox 800. I made a mistake when i flash my box with a clone image !!!! ( bad idea )


    Now when i boot i have : ( with sim attached ) :

    I can't reflash with dreamup -> Wrong boot response ! I try all version with bad sectors recovery ... NOTHING !


    The powerbutton seems doesn't work with sim attach. -> not possible to have an ip.


    Then i try to remove the sim card and now the box request an IP via DHCP and search file on TFTP ...


    Can you help me to boot on TFTP and reflash my box ?


    I search file to boot ( kernel,squashfs ? ... ) by newtork but i can't find them on the net.


    Some idea ? Someone has file for TFTP boot ?

    you can fix it yourself with DREAMUP Software and flashing new bootloader / image. This time an original image from DMM ...

    Did the serial connection ever work? You have setup everything correctly of your COM port and know it was working fine before? And you tried to flash the bootloader as NFI File or you just tried to flash a new image?


    Because this should not happen. I've seen many people flashing clone images and destroying their bootloader, but it always can get fixed with dreamup, which does not require a working secondstage-loader so even if you have a bad one installed, flashing with dreamup should work or you are doing something wrong. However, nobody really knows what happens if you install bootloader / bios from clone boxes, so yes ... maybe you really messed it up. You should really take care of what images and loaders you are flashing. But most of the people I know can fix it with dreamup.


    And stop trying crazy things like removing the SIM Card and other stuff. This will NEVER work and the box will simply not working without a SIM card and you will only do more damage to your box, so don't even try it. The only chance you have is trying to flash new bootloader as NFI file (link above), when this will not work you have to send box to dmm for repair. Forget that tftp and without sim-card ... it will not work anyway.

    i try i try i try ... Dreamup doesn't work !


    i think my bootloader is to recent for dreamup and don't send the correct response :

    I try now by TFTP i have a dhcp server and atftpd to send the kernel to the box ... If i have the time, i will try on an other computer tomorrow !


    How many cost a reparation ? Do you have an idea ?
