DVB-S2 BCM 4505/06 and Dm 8000

  • would like to by this dvb-s2 tunere here http://www.hm-sat-shop.de/en/receiv...eambox-dvb-s2-tuner-fuer-dm800-se-dm8000.html
    My questions are:
    - Is it really DVB-S2 BCM 4505 in a given link?
    - Will go with my DM 8000, which already has two DVB-S2 BCM 4501 means that you will be DM 8000 to work properly with it?
I think it will go ok but I would love to hear your opinions and experiences, if someone has already done something like this

    - Yes

  • Well i juste orderd a new tuner  will se how the box goes with that new tuner.

I hope that will works like bcm 4505 from dm 500hd,thinking,signal qulity and speed(boot, image).

Joergm6 do you alredy hawe this combination off tuners if yes How it work are you satisfied

    Tnx

  • Yes, I have 2 + 2 new tuner. I do not see any differences between the tuners.

  • Did you try to do some testing with Signal Quality, betwen BCM 4501 AND BCM 4505(plug tuner)

I hawe dm 500 hd(bcm 4505) and signal quality is beter then DM 8000(bcm 4501).I se that on the low signal quality transponders(11095 16E),there i cuold watch until 24% of signal and on the dm 8000(bcm 4501)i could watch until 29%.Also when the signal is good he goes(on the dm 500hd bcm4505) up to 48%,on dm 8000(bcm 4501) he goes up to 39%.

  • No success in search results for knowing differences between 4501, 4505/4506 tuners. DM 8000 user manual has no info on input symbol rate for DVB-S and DVB-S2. If anyone has info on these tuners specifications especially input symbol rate, please inform. I'm interested in knowing if DM 8000 built in twin tuners accept symbol rate of upto 45000 for DVB-S2 (8PSK), if not what will be the best tuner option for plug&play slots.

    Thanks & Regards,
