rename channel

    Hi folks,


    I am struggling last few days to rename a channel in my Favourite list..


    I have 8000HD with ****** image..


    Anybody could give me some advice?

    I can't understand what you mean with rename! You can delete a channel, and move it .
    The channel name is fix!
    So write back if I am misunderstanding you!

    My Dreambox found a channel named "3632V SID 0x01"...


    I put this channel in my Favourite list...


    I want to rename this channel to "Tchad TV",as it actually is...


    Simple question: How can I do it?

    on dreambox no way :frowning_face:
    you have to use some external setting editor soft like DreamSet, DreamboxEdit etc
    when title is changed set also atribute Locked for that services

    I have been already that far....


    I tried with Dreamset editor,renamed the channel on my PC,under Service properties


    locked settings,clicked "WRITE",and still on my Dreambox appeared the old name...

    sometimes reload services can be failed,
    after copy services/bouquets files from pc to dream do 'killall -9 enigma2' under telnet console or take away power cable for few sec


    also chek what atributes have your services in file /etc/enigma2/lamedb
    there example how looks locked

    Yes,you were right...the trick with taking off the power


    after the tranmission from PC to the box solved the problem..


    And,also,I had to check the box "Untouched by SDT" in service


    properties,because otherwise the name is there only until you


    switch to that channel again....then goes back to the old name..

    You saved hours & hours of my time and I doubt I would


    ever come to the right move....hope I'd be able to


    give the favour back...
