Dreambox 100, I need a USA version USB - SILABS to setup my new DM 100.

    Please read the following was posted on a USA Forum about the DM 100 :


    people with USB- FTDI version need to convert there bootloader to USA version USB - SILABS.


    I am in the process of getting this file directly from germany Dreambox manufacture


    As soon as i have this file you should able to convert your DM100 to USa VERSIon

    then you should have no problem connecting to public IKS...


    Be patient i am working on it.. I can't gaurantee they will give it to me but let wait and see...


    I will call them tomorrow and follow up with there tech department.

    public IKS... = illegal - and is NOT supported by DMM.

    I cannot see why they would release a FTDI and SILABS chips on the DMM100


    These are hardware chips.... with eeprom flashing.... 2 different chips....


    Come on DMM!! get with the program.... release a firmware bootloader multi compatible for SILABS H/W and FDTI H/W....


    Support the community! Release a proper flash to fix this issue which is universal.
