country of origin / manufactured markings

  • I note that on my original dm800 there is no product marking (internally or externally) where the product is made or comes from.
    It seems to me that DMM try to present the product as being German when in fact it is made in China.


    Unfortunately my German is not good enough to understand the legal text, but i would be grateful if a German member could look at the following legal text and clarify whether manufacturers are required to display that information.
    I believe they are right? Certainly in just about every other developed country they are required by law to do it.

    What exactly is your point?
    1. Neither the DM800 nor the DM8000 are produced in China.
    2. There is no law that forces anybody to make statements where their products are produced (e.g. many companys simply advertise with "made by" or "produced for")


    So ... where is your point?
