I just went menu -> timer the press Add (green)

I have followed the guide on page 52 of the guide here: http://www.dream-multimedia-tv…/user_manual_dm800_hd.pdf but I canno't add a timer.
When I press Add (green button) I get the unavailable icon up top (the rectangle box with a diagonal line through it)
I have a Hdd installed and I can record by pressing Red.How to get the timers to work?

The EPG on the DM800HD PVR takes forever to load and everytime the box goes on standby (not shutdown) they get reset (needs to load them again).
Also it seems it only loads the EPG after you've surfed through a channel. Is there a way to get them updated automatically?

Hi,
no sorry, i may have been a little unprecise there.
As User you usually access the webinterface via http, or way better, via https (standard port for https is 443).
I guess you know the "Playlists" you can get via the webinterface to play stuff in VLC.
So for the webinterface you use 80/http or better 443/https.
For the actual stream data 8001 has to be used/forwarded.Ok so I need to forward port 8001 on my router right?
Thanks.

Ok so if I setup a dyndns account for the box then all I do is access something like mydevice.dyndns.com:8001?
-
Current dreamboxes do not have the power to recode the stream. If you do not have at least 10MBit of upstream, then it will not work. Of course you can use a pc to recode and stream, but then this pc has to run round the clock
I have something like 150mb/15mb down/up so it should be ok.
How to go about configuring the box/router?

Is it possible with a Dreambox DM800 HD PVR?
Works over LAN so in theory should be fine if you can get onto your LAN remotely right?
Are there any free DNS services like mycloudnas.com (I use that to stream from my NAS unit)? -
NO! The original DM 800 has no fan! You bought a clone, an illegal copy of a original dreambox.
Real good job at it. Sticker on the box and all!
What other ways are there to tell? -
Since when does original DM800HD have a fan?You might want to look at where the fan power is coming from...
It has a small one. Seen it when putting in the HDD.
Ok so if it needs to be unplugged I suppose only way around it is to get one of those remote power sockets. -
I have tried the 3 digit codes but I don't think they can work because the TV button has to flash twice to confirm code entered but it only does it after 4 digits.
-
That's the thing, I go to shutdown not standby and I get the "shutdown successful" message on the screen but the box is still powered (the message never goes off, fan spinning, USB is powered too).
-
Is there a way to have the DM800 HD completely power off so that it doesn't power any USB device attached and have it turn off it's internall fan? (without just unplugging it)
The box is close to the bed, the power socket is not easily accessible and the fan noise is very noticeable. -
Thank you. Will try that.

I have tried the following codes for my Samsung LED Tv UE40C6000
0648 0617 0208 0067 0586 0123 0674 0039 0247 0478
0400 0090 0294 0246 0320 0102 0238 0549 0193 0655None of them work.
Are there more I could try?
