Schnelle Antwort Danke - ist auch nicht so dringend - habe auch DR-HD über Sat - und da herrschen keinerlei Probleme. Nur gut zu hören, dass an einer Lösung gearbeitet wird.

vor kurzem wurde das analoge Fernsehsignal in Dänemark abgeschaltet. Dies machte Platz für neue MPEG4 MUX. Die bisherigen MPEG2 MUX laufen bis 2012 weiter - dann werden die abgeschaltet und durch MPEG4 MUX ersetzt.

Das Videoformat bei den neuen Mux ist H.264 - womit die Dreambox super umgeht. Das Audioformat ist HE-AAC. Bei den meisten Sendern funktioniert auch dies wunderbar - aber bei einem Sender "DR-HD" - funktioniert es nicht immer. "DR-K" sendet auch mit HE-AAC - und hier funktioniert es immer. Was mir auffällt ist, dass wenn es nicht geht bei DR-HD, dann sind immer zwei HE-AAC streams verfügbar. Bei DR-K ist immer nur ein HE-AAC stream verfügbar.

Das merkwürdige ist, dass wenn ich aufnehme und die Aufnahme abspielt, dann wird der Ton vernünftig abgespielt.

When are we going to get a fix for this subtitle problem? It is indeed really annoying, that multiline subtitles are placed all over the screen.

Thus it is nice to know, that the text color can be changed.

According to a mail from your support team, that I received on thursday last week (2009-04-16), neither DM 8000 nor DM 800 supports HE-AAC.

Furthermore on Dream Multimedias Homepage (http://www.dream-multimedia-tv.de/dm8000/) the software release is from 2008-12-10. The support for HE-AAC added in January 2009 seems not to have been released yet.

Is it possible to get this softwareversion somehow?
And can you somehow "guarantee", that DM 8000 supports HE-AAC? It would be realy anoying buying this device if it is not capable of playing any sound on danish tv.

In short: (HE-)AAC is not supported on any Dream Box (HD). The technical support cannot say whether this will ever be supported in future updates.

My conclusion: I will save my 1000 EUR until an update is available. Eventually, I will simply look out for another solution. I had realy hoped, that this close to perfect box would have solved all my TV-watching (DVB-S2, DVB-T) and PVR (Simultaneous recording of several programs) issues. Unfortunately it will not...
