DM800 don't boot

  • Hello,

I have a problem with the Dreambox 800 bought on November 11.
It is started from Sunday Nov. 30.
The first time the Dreambox after a shoot down don't turn on, It go to the 2nd boot, the one with the boot indicating the line of gradual progress, and then blocked.
After many time I proved to rewrite the firmware on flash and this time successful the
    Dreambox boot regularly.
Later, when I rebooted I did go to shoot down, for boot again it need a lot of time
or blocked the boot and resets automatically. For recovery it need to reflash the firmware.

Yesterday, Friday Nov. 5 when returning home the Dreambox does not turn over the state of
standby, did not answer the remote or the button on Dreambox. I disconnected the plug, when I
inserted again remained blocked at first start with the words flash / wmlinux.gz. I tried to rewrite
the flash but not arrived in the second boot the one with the line of gradual progress. I rescript the
flash again and this time, following the video with the progress in % I discovered that the flash arrives
94% and immediately jumps to 100%. I tried to rewrite it again but this time with the serial cable but
This time it blocked the start of the 2nd boot, one with the line of status. After 2 attempts the
reboot is not getting more in the second boot, it always stopped at the first boot flash / wmlinux.gz

If you have any advice before I send it for repair / replacement I can easily follow your Sugerir.

    Sincerly

  • Hello,

I have rewritten the firmware with serial cable and selected "bads recovery sector" and now when I turn , the Dreambox sometimes goes to reboot all the time and sometimes it's stop with the image flash / wmlinux.gz.

This is the log of HyperTerminal done automatically when the dreambox it is in restart, if I can help for identify the problem ...

I will try to take the log even when the Dreambox is Blocked when writing / flash / wmlinux.gz
