Hello all - just purchased a Dreambox 500S - think it was probably a bad idea - think i'm in way over my head!

Perhaps someone can help. I bought it to receive more channels - locked on to the Astra / Eurobird satellite, found lots of channels but most appear to be srambled. Is there any way to descramble the channels? Appreciate for Sky Sports etc a subscription needed but surely not for all the ones that are scrambled? If that's the case what am I getting extra with a dreambox? What makes a dreambox any different to other 'standard' receivers.

Am I missing something??
