I am completely new to this forum and looking into (mis)using a dreambox (not sure which one yet) to attach a webcam to it and do some video conferencing with it. Has anyone else been looking into these issues? What I am wondering mostly for the time being is:

1. How easy is it to pick a webcam and connect it to the Dreambox so that it will be recognised by the kernel?
2. Is the processor on the box capable of encoding and decoding H263/H264 in CIF mode. Decoding should not be a real problem, encoding puts larger demands on the processor and I am a bit sceptical.
