    HDD: Samsung


    I tried to record a program but got the message " unable to record because the HDD is not detected or not initialized". Anything I must do before recording? Please HELP

    If this is your first recording attempt, you probably just have to initialize (also known as format) the hard disc, which can be done in the settings menu. See your (online) manual on how to do this, if unsure.


    If you have previously recorded, then the box doesn't find it for some reason. Reasons could include loose cables or a defective drive.
