Hallo,

leider ist meine Fernbedienung ausgefallen.

Um kurzfristig Timer setzen zu können, möchte ich gerne das (zur Zeit leider abgeschaltete)
Web Interface aktivieren. Ich komme per Telnet und FTP auf die Box. Besteht eine
Chance, dass ich das Interface darüber einschalten kann?

Fast: Wenn Du beim Abspielen die Pause drückst, und dann Vorlauf, wird mit 1/8 Geschwindigkeit abgespielt - das ist fast Einzelbild, besonders, da Du sofort wieder Pause drücken kannst, um das Bild anzuhalten. Rückwärts geht das leider nicht - ist aufgrund des MPEG2 Formats aber auch aufwendig.

not everyone lives in Denmark - a country which in my opinion has has the best looking TV subtitles in the world (at least on DR1). I totally agree with you: The font size, position, type and color should be manually configuable and there should be black bars behind the subs, too.

If you're used to such high standards, your best option is a ignore the dreambox internal subtitling and get the 2SUB plugin. As far as I know the development has been stopped, so I'm not sure if it runs with the lastest 7025 images - but it's worth downgrading a an older image to get DR1 and TV2 with workings subs.

gibt es die Möglichkeit, die Bild- und Tonparameter des aktuell anzeigten Programms manuell - z.B. per Telnet - zu setzen und so einen neuen Sender sehen zu können, ohne einen Sendersuchlauf zu machen oder die Box neu durchstarten zu müssen?

Auf Astra 28.2 Ost, 12441 V besteht die Chance, dass am Mittwoch das Halbfinalspiel Deutschland Türkei auf einer Tonunterspur den Stadiosound ohne Moderation überträgt, wie schon bei der WM 2006. Da die Dreambox die interaktiven Sender nicht von selbst findet, ist Handarbeit nötig, um die passenden Werte zu finden und die passende Spur zu finden. Da wäre es gut, wenn man per Telnet die Nummernbereiche durchtesten könnte.

You should probably find someone locally who knows what satellite dish is necessary for the channels you want to watch and how to set it up. Without knowing your situation no-one will be able to give you useful help here.

In short: If the dish works with normal satellite receivers, it will also with the 7025-S - so the person you asks doesn't need to know the receiver.

Meine Box ist die alte 7025 und ich verwende den alternativen Radiomodus von Enigma2. Meine Aufnahmen mache ich meistens von ARD-Sendern im ARD-Hörfunktransponder auf Astra 19° und von den BBC-Sendern auf Astra 28°.

- man kann die letzten Minuten am Ende einer Aufnahme nicht abspielen, kurz vor Schluss geht das Gerät in den Pause Modus.
- es wird kein Hintergrundbild angezeigt, weder das eigene "radio.mvi" oder das aus dem Image.

Es hat zwar etwas gedauert, bis Enigma2 das konnte, dafür kann man mit den Sprungtasten in den Audioaufnahmen sich prima bewegen.

Eine geänderte FEC wird beim manuellen Scannen eines Transponders nicht aktualisiert.

Folgendes Problem:
Bei BFBS auf 7° Ost 11324 V 27500 wurde die FEC geändert.
Früher war es 1/2, jetzt ist es 2/3.

Ich habe die alten Kanäle in meiner Programmliste, aber nicht in den Favoriten.

Wenn ich den Transponder manuell durchscanne, werden alle Sender gefunden und mit korrektem Namen angezeigt.
Die Änderung wird aber nicht gespeichert. Wenn man die Sender anwählt, versucht der Tuner weiterhin mit der FEC 1/2 zu empfangen.
Das Problem bleibt auch bestehen, wenn man die satellites.xml durch eine aktuelle Fassung ersetzt, die für den Transponder
die korrekte FEC enthält und danach neu scannt.

Einzige Lösung: Die gespeicherten Sender durch ein externes Programm oder komplettes Löschen der Senderdaten entfernen.

If you do not use USALS, you need to manually store the position of each satellite you want to watch in the motor. This can be done in the setup.
To check if it works I'd go into the setup and move the dish a few steps to the side (and then check if it really has moved).

If it doesn't move, then you need to check your system.

If it moves, you can manually add positions. Make sure to write these down, as you will need the numbers after a firmware update.

Note that the first numbers are presets for extisting satellites (check your manual), so don't change them. For tests I recommend changing unused numbers. For example, I have Astra 28.2 at position 49 on my motor.

I don't want to complain too much, but for me the blue subs are useless.
They look really awful when used with BBC channels (where subs often have 3 lines) and are way too big and lack black bars around them, so they are difficult to read against some backgrounds. Also, they cannot handle live subtitling, where the subs are just printed on top of each other.

But there's help from Scandinavia (where subtitles are part of normal TV life and people care how they look) There's an enigma2 plugin called 2SUB which handles the subtitles much better and gives you a lot of control about the look, size and position of the subs.

2SUB is not perfect and has one annoying bug (it get's stuck with BBC subtitles when they position them at the top of the screen during the beginning of films, so you need to press TEXT to get it running again) - if you can live with this you'll be very hapy with it, because it gives you subtitles that simply look great.

Maybe I'm missing something, but it's not working for me here.

The MovieCut-1.0-DM7025.ipk would not install from the tmp-Folder of my dreambox, so I manually copied the files fromMovieCut-1.0.tar.bz2 to my 7025 (which has a Boxman image from november).

When i perform the cuts, I get a message window that the cutting starts in the background. Then nothing happens.

Anything I can do to check what's wrong? Do I have to set rights after copying?

Naja, beim Röhrengerät ist's halt andersrum. Bei mir kommt der Ton immer eine Zehntelsekunde zu spät, wenn ich den digitalen Ausgang bei mp2 Ton nutze - das ist genauso nervig. Beim AC3-Ton ist die Verzögerung noch viel größer und nicht tolerierbar. Analog passt es prima, deshalb verzichte ich bei der Dreambox auf Digitalton.

Soweit ich da sehe, kann man das aber nicht global hinterlegen, die Anpassung müßte also nach jedem Kanalwechsel neu erfolgen.

It's probably because many of the dream developers don't have access to the freesat and/or don't care. And I don't see them trying to get all these interactive features to work. (Personally, I prefer to have a box that does not show red dots on screen all the time)

Once a test of the EPG is live on the satellite, you'll probably get developers to take a look at it. At the moment, it looks like they are busy enough trying to get the 8000 into the market in the first place.

On the other hand, it would also be great to get the freesat people to broadcast a proper EPG with their channels that would work with any receiver.

ich nutze das aktuelle CVS Image von Boxman in mir ist ein Fehler im Web-Interface aufgefallen.

Ich kann über das Web-Interface den EPG eines Senders aufrufen und dann per Klick auf das Timer-Symbol die ausgewählte Sendung programmiere, werden Vor- und Nachlaufzeit der Aufnahme doppelt hinzugezählt.

Beispiel: Ich habe bei mir 3 Minuten Vorlauf und 15 Minuten Nachlauf eingestellt. Wenn ich eine Sendung von 3Sat (DVB-T) auswähle, die von 21.00 - 22.00 Uhr läuft, wird ein Timer von 20.54 - 22.30 Uhr gesetzt.

Bei manueller Eingabe der Timer über das Web-Interface gibt's das Problem nicht.

I've been complaining about this for nearly two years - but you are too late - because now it works!

I've got a current CVS Image from the end of November on my machine and playback of radio TS files works great. So does skipping - even while the recording runs - something my 7000s never did. (Note: I have the alternative radio mode activated where radio behaves just like TV.)

There's only two flaws left: The audio stops about one minute early - so you should record a 1-2 extra minutes if you want to listen to the full recording. And I can't get the background picture to run. The TV stays black when playing back radio recordings. (I have my own ravio.mvi file for this, but the lastest images ignore it)

So you can either try a fresh CVS image or wait for the changes to show up in the next official release.

gibt's eigentlich eine Möglichkeit, das Videoanzeigeformat per Telnet zu setzen?

Ich wechsel ständig zwischen 4:3 Letterbox, 4:3 Pan/Scan und 16:9 hin und her und würd mir gerne es Skript bauen, das diesen Wechsel beschleunigt.
