I doubt that DMM will release drivers for this tuner on the DM8000. They already denied that for the DVB-S2 Dual-Tuner.

On DMM webpages and in the code repositories I couldn't find any information on whether the Dual Tuner is available for the DM8000 or not.
At least according to German press the tuner is not supported for the DM8000 (see http://www.digitalfernsehen.de…f-dem-Markt.143941.0.html which lists all HD boxes but the DM8000 and DM800).

But maybe some DMM dev can enlighten us with positive news!?

Hi m0rphU: I saw so many posts here and elsewhere, where people use the Dual Tuner (DVB-S2, BCM4505) in their DM8000 HD PVR. It seems that despite the above information, someone must have developed the necessary module. I am also looking for this driver (the tuner type BCM4505), since the internal tuners BCM4501 stopped working couple of days ago. If there is any chance, or you have updated information, it will be appreciated. Thanks much.

I was talking about the Dual Tuner from SiLabs, not the Broadcom tuner. The BCM 4505 is a single tuner and should work with the 8000.
