Hi all,
I'm looking for a way to read video contents using RTSP protocol, to set up a VoD server with VLC on a computer (using VLM tools) and start/pause/stop the streams using RTSP.
Do you think it is possible to modify VLC Frontend to do this ? Or is there already a plugin doing this ?

make an m3u or pls playlist file and put your rtsp address in there
mediaplayer will open and playback the rtsp streams if you're lucky and the streams are in a format which we can decode on the box
you might need to ipkg install gst-plugin-rtsp

Unfortunately it doesn't work. I installed the gst plugin and edited an m3u playlist with the rtsp server address, but nothing happens on the dreambox when i launch it in the mediaplayer...
Any other idea ?

if nothing happens, then you did something wrong, maybe the syntax of the playlist file.
did you open the playlist file in the media player? it should at least give you an error message. try to make a debug log of the enigma2 session
