you have to be careful with damaged downloads cause in most cases the damaged file is in browsercache and when you try to redownload it, you get the damaged file again.

delete your browsercache before redownload.

usually strange problems come to my way
I deleted browser cache , but the problem still exists
I use ubuntu 9.10 and gFTP
I discovered that the problem was in gFTP , because the same ipk file doesn't work when transfered to the box via gFTP
and it works when I use another FTP program ( kasablanca) -
Very strange, i also use gtfp for uploading ipks and don't have such problems. FC11 in use here.
