    I don't know, and I never heard nothing about it, but it would be appropriate, making statements of this kind, always cite the exact source that produces the original information... :face_with_rolling_eyes:

    The DM7025 can record and display HD content which is broadcasted in mpeg2.
    It's displayed downscaled to PAL resolution, of course and can be streamed to a PC or copied via LAN and played there.


    But there is and will be no special "chip" to enable this feature.

    Afaik BBC HD is still broadcasting in MPEG2-HD on 28,2°. Not sure how long that will continue to be case.
