Yes, so this is how you stream to your dreambox easily.

Open the dreambox's webserver in your browser http://dreambox

Click on ZAP

Click on Stream (oops, maybe this button needs a plugin, I didn't think about the fact that I have currently not the original image running)

Click on Settings

Put your PC's IP on the serverIP field

Activate "transcode Video" and "transcode Audio" if you stream something else than mpeg (e.g. an AVI)

Click on Change

Click on browse and select your file you want to stream

Click on "File" button, your local VLC client witll start and send the video to the dreambox.
Wait...
Wait a little more (up to 2 minutes)

The dreambox will show now the stream. Enjoy

was meinst du mit "umwandeln von VOBs"?
Wie ich schon sagte, eine ganze Palette von Sendern schicken DVD kompatible streams, die braucht man "nur" neu muxen. Die mpeg Kompression kann so bleiben wie sie ist.
Für das banale remux würd ich aber auch gut eine Stunde pro Film rechnen.

Sie schrammt sehr knapp am swap vorbei, und wenn's dann mal swapt dann ist besser die Kiste neustarten anstatt zu warten bis die Fernbedienung wieder reagiert.

Falls es kompliziert ist, Lötkolben ist auch vorhanden, wo muss ich die chips einpflanzen?

hmm, eine DVD sind doch auch nur daten.
Bracht man noch eine soft die ein TS in PS wandelt und noch ein DVD menü erstellt.
Oder einfach mpeg auf DVD schreibt die man dann mit so einem billig-alles-player abspielen kann.

Ein guter Teil der TS streams sind DVD kompatibel, hab ich schon versucht (via PC). Da braucht man also nicht neu zu konvertieren.
