Have you tried completley unplugging all and re doing it a few times, mine does the same and sometimes it needs a few minutes before repluggin in to start fully, the network lights come on but the box does not reload, but when I do the complete unplugging it then reboots fine.

Thank you for your response, I am concerned to hear that genuine Dreambox's aren't shipped with CD's as I had one with the pdf manual on it. I have done the Genuine dreambox check and it is coming back as a Genuine Box, is there anything else I can do to ensure it is genuine

I am beginning to think this board is a complete waste of time, unless you speak German it appears support is none exsistent to English and the moderators/developers cant be bothered to help just jump on forum infringments quickly but not on actually giving responses to problems instead. Prove me wrong, I dare you 4 people have posted the same issue with connecting external HDD's perhaps one of you can now help !!I even posted it in German and still no response

Ich suche Hilfe von der Deutsch-Forum Mitglieder auf meine Probleme hatte ich noch nicht Freude in englischer Sprache. Ich habe eine DM 800HD PVR und ich versuche, eine Festplatte anschließen, habe ich die HDD über die DM800 formatiert, aber nach der Führung, wenn ich das sytem Suche nach Festplatten es nicht zeigen, andere als die internen Flash. Ich habe versucht, auf meine externe Festplatte aufnehmen, sondern alle es taten, war meine internen Flash-Speicher zu füllen und zu mir Green-Screen-Abstürze nun aufgrund der Blitz voll. Ich kann es nicht löschen die Aufzeichnung entweder so haben ein größeres Problem als das, was ich hatte ursprünglich versucht, die Festplatte zu installieren. Kannst du mir bitte helfen, indem Sie mich in die richtige Richtung, um die Aufnahme aus dem internen Flash-sauber und wie man richtig schließen Sie einen externen HDD I mit einem eSATA-Kabel-Verbindung war. I tried to install a Samsung Story HDD using the esata lead connection to my DM800 HD PVR and can see the HDD in Media Player but cannot seem to get the box to recognise it for a recording file path, I have followed the manual (pdf) of the cd disc and it states in the system menu click on Hard Drive and choose your HDD but I do not get this option in the system menu, I have put it in expert mode to get the full menu choice so this is not the problem, as the original poster has stated. Surely someone on here can help us English speakers out I am sure this seems a regular problem when trying to align a external HDD just can't see any responses from admin/moderators etc on this to help us. Maxl I have also formatted the hard drive via the DM800 so still don't know why it is not aligning to the system? Please helps us someone.

Hi newbie here, I have encountered a problem whilst trying to config my externall HDD to my DM800HD PVR in trying to find a recording route path I have filled up my internal flash drive and it will not allow me to delete the recording and instead crashes to the green error screen, this has also corrupted other processes like scans and even trying to reboot the box whereby it also crashes to a green error box, I guess because the flash is full the instructions cannot be processed thus the error reports. Can any one PLEASE ASSIST me in knowing how to delete the full internal flash drive safetly without changing my system config and[Moderator] violation of the Boardrules [/Moderator] setting?

I will hopefully also learn after the flash fault is sorted, also how to find the correct way of adding a external HDD esata file path from you wonderfull people.
