Hi.
I repeated the process now with both scripts (the newest 22 April ). I have rebooted the box and tested osd by www only (I am not at home).
All looks ok. I see all epg on main channel list window. If I will see any differences when I will be back at home, I will write it here.
I checked /usr/script/ (with ls -Al for be sure) and I do not have any .txt file in it after both scripts run.

I used both scripts at Friday.
After applied the patch I have lost from main channel list :
- progress bar of current program
- tittle of current program next to channel name
- epg description about current program near the channel list
The only epg is if I will press info on channel on this list and this epg will be in new window.

Is this result intentional or something has failed ? I do not like this result. DM8000, official 3.2.2, gemini plugin and black dream hd skin.

Is it possible to easy return to state before patch applied ? Maybe list of files to store before and restore if want to go back ?
I have installed full backup of image for return ...

I do not agree. I extremely need the information what are on the transponder.
The situation , I have info about channel but channel is using other name .
I scanned transponder and I do not have new channel on the ALL list.
If I will know what is on transponder I will be able to find my new channel with other name.

but this is only one example. Current limit makes a sense to delete this window from enigma. We not need this window in current version.
It is better to fix it in compare to delete the window. You can have different opinion of course. I do not need special bouquet for it.

I have written , shin is not a problem. Do you need the possibility to browse new scanned services in skin window ? Replace ServiceScann window in your skin using this :

The rudream with enigma1 has had feature to save new scanned services to separate bouquet. But this is only work- around .

I am starting this problem with dm8000 and official release 3.2.2 .

The standard ServiceScan window is showing scanned services in the list.
When the eleventh service is added to the list the first is removed.
We see only 10 services in this window and never will know what are on the transponder.
(I do not understand why this window has this limit from the start of enigma existence - not usable for user)

I have tried to find something to change it.

The self.servicelist.clear() looks interesting , but removing this line does not help.
The limit has a sense. If we will scan many satellites we will have thousands services.
The limit = 10 has no sense.

I am looking for the help. Where can I change this limit to 100 or 200 ? If it
will be bigger I will be able to check each transponder for all services on it.

I have checked Hellas HD Promo from 39e, which is using SR=7720 and all is ok.

My post has been sent long time ago. Now not only beta testers are using this equipment but normal users too.
Maybe someone owning dm8000 will be able to check if this box is able to receive HD channel , where source rate is smaller than 10000 ?

It can be a separation problem of your diseqc 4/1 switch. It has to be 30dB or more for correct working of 2 receivers with common twin .

Now enigma is seeing ts files:

I want to record some things on dvd and have a problem. I do not think if it is standard. I afraid, dvd like snazio and others hd will not see file with extension : 001, 002 ... as ts files and all will not be played.

My question is about second nameing convencion , standard convencion supported by enigma but not used now. If it does not exist now, how it will be defined in future for keep compatibility with DVD decks and overs multimedia equipment.
Please write me it before I will burn my DVD. (eh ...why file on dvd can not be 4.5G in size )

Your answer has sense , but will be able to buy HDTV equipment without HDCP protection from other manufacturers ? Suppose, it will be hard and will be very small choice...or removing HDCP will be possible in other equpment.
The most important is LCD/Plasma. Will LCD with HDCP protection show 1080i/p generated by dm8000 over DVI ?

If HDCP display will not detect correct HDCP signal it will not show HDTV picture. If HDCP recorder will not detect correct HDCP signal it will not record HDTV signal. Am I wrong ?

I hate HDCP and do not want it , but we have to have it because we can be sure , ours displays will have it

The HDCP on HDMI needs licence from US organisation of Media Corporations... and because only HDMI has HDCP , this licence is not problem for DVI.
If DVI will have HDCP it will break licence. They want to keep hand on licence distributing for create the stick on manufacturers and have a rule.
If dvi will be possible with HDCP without licence , suppose will be with it international problem.

If not, all HDTV LCD/Plasma/Crt with HDCP will not let to see HDTV picture generated by dm8000. Maybe some China manufactures will create HDTV lcd without HDCP . Does it mean , the dm8000 will only work with some china's lcd ?

The next way is pirate hacking the HDCP from satellite and DVD source for transmit correct signal by DVI . Does the law let on it ? I suppose not . Equipment like it will not be selling in EU and USA law will fight with it.

The last way is like card slot - not usable in oryginal software.
Will not the dm8000 be HDTV equipment with oryginal software ? Only with not official software ? But this way each firmware creator and user will have to fight with USA law and USA court.
