thanks mate. solved the problem by doing a flash without the flash erase

hi there

while tinkering with my dm500s i unchecked the DHCP in communication in expert setup menu. the box then started flashing on and off so i thought i1d reflash the image, however after dream up has performed the flash erase it fails with the flash giving the error message "aborted by user"

DCC also now can`t connect giving the error message "send socket not connected" so i basically have an empty box and no way to put a new image on.

the only other thing i had done was to ftp the satankey bundle to the box.

any help on how to get this box back working would be greatly appreciated

keep box power of

connect to pc using null modem RS232 cable

start dream up

click connect

when prompted power up the box

click flash when box has been recognized

if this is first time say yes to flash erase,

when prompted click flash and browse to the image on your pc

it will tell when the job is done
