    Hi.
Your example is what I get but a different error message. As mentioned once it reboots the system works again without any of the new channels loaded.

Obviously, this is not ideal – hence the need to free up some memory in the flash of my DM Box as CU has advised. Now just the CCAM to worry about if I do this and will it total reset the box and in so losing my CAMD settings?
    Regards

    Hi. CU.

I appreciate your information and it all seems plausible but one of my concerns is that if I flash a new firmware on the DM Box will I lose my CAMD (CCAM)?

I had this set up for me by a friend who has since left the country and I am concerned that if I load the new firmware for the box I will lose all settings which he has set up for me.

By loading this new firmware, will it affect my CAMD (CCAM)? If so is there a way to store this information and then once the new firmware is installed to reload all the settings?

Alternatively, is there a way, as you mentioned to delete/clean up the flash memory without affecting the CCAM?

Once again, I appreciate your help with this matter.

    Regards

    Hi CU.

Thanks for responding to my screams of help.

Unfortunately, I have a suspicion that I have recorded to the flash memory and that is why I keep getting the ‘not enough memory’ message with the green screen of death.

You mention that I might like to try “You must erase some things from flash memory. Or reflash your Image”.

Could I ask you to let me know how this is done please? Unlike most people on this forum, my knowledge is relatively limited to the system.

Once again, I really appreciate your help with this.

    Regards.

    Hi All.

I am desperately hoping that an expert out there can help me yet again.

I have a DM 800 HD PVR. All was working well receiving signals from Hotbird, NileSat and ArabSat. Unfortunately, when I now go to rescan the satellites either automatically or manually the box scans the satellites and then when it has completed the scan crashes and reboots with the green screen of death.

It appears that the common error is that there is not enough space left on the internal memory. I do not have an external drive connected to the box. I did look at the file manager and there are a couple of files of TV programmes which add up to about 18Mgb. I have tried many times to delete these files but they just will not delete. I have a suspicion that this is the cause of me not being able to rescan the channels as this has only started happening when I ‘accidently’ recorded a few moments of a tv program into the internal DM memory.

I have attached the crash logs from when I try to upload the new channel scan etc. If ANYONE can sort this for me they will be a God in my household! Even information on how to delete the programmes which are stored in the memory would be a start as deleting them in the normal way does not remove them regardless of what I try. It appears that my troubles started when I recorded a few minutes of a TV program straight to the internal memory of the box. As mentioned, I am unable to delete this recording and so am lost as to what to do next.

I can also access my DM via my network and can see the programme listed under timer. I can download it from my DM box to my computer on the network. However, even when I try to delete it remotely via the PC it says it is deleted it still remains on the DM. Even when I put the DM in a Deepstandby remotely, the DM starts to go in to a deep shut down mode then reboots after 10 seconds with the green screen of death again. I really have no idea what its doing..

I am sure I am missing something obvious but I am dreading to flash the box with new software etc or something technical that needs to be done to the box as this is well beyond my technical ability.

The box IS a genuine DreamBox so I am hoping this will be a common event? Many thanks in advance.

    Many regards.

    Hi SiennaRoot.

I did what you said and it ‘appears’ to have worked. HOWEVER, I cannot seem to get the bouquets etc on the DM 800 HD PVR. I have turned off, reloaded, restarted, and rebooted everything a million times but it still has not loaded into the DM 800 HD PVR. I am sure it is something simple or a setting I need to change but I am clueless as to what that could be.

ANY ideas as to how to make it all come together?

Once again, many thanks in advance.

    Hi All.

Well I guess it was asking too much for it to be easy. I have now downloaded the latest version of the DreamBox Edit 3.0.0.1 and have purchased and installed my fantastic new DM 800 HD PVR.

When I try to transfer all the saved bouquets/channels from my computer to the DM 800 HD PVR I get an array of error messages. Try as I might, I cannot seem to resolve the problem. I am once again hoping that there is an expert out there that can assist me in my endeavours to have all my channel/bouquets data transferred to my new box.

The error message I get is as listed below:

    Connecting to 192.168.1.7.
    Connected.
    Dreambox response: Login successful.
    ** Getting directory list /var/tuxbox/config/enigma/* **
    Starting FTP transfer
    Transfer complete
    ** Sending file "/var/tuxbox/config/enigma/services" **
    Starting FTP transfer
    Transfer aborted
Error sending file "services" to the Dreambox.
    Disconnecting.
    Disconnected.

Any ideas as to how to resolve this?

    Many thanks in advance.

    Hi Maxl.

Thanks for the help. I googled your suggestion and found a zipped file of the latest Dream Box Edit 3.0.3.0 software installed it and copied all the flies, channels and bouquets from my DM 600 PVR to my computer.Once I get the new DM 800 HD PVR I will transfer the data and fingers crossed, that should be that.

I’ll keep you posted on my success.

Once again thanks for your help.

    Hi All.

I currently have a DM 600 PVR and am thinking of upgrading to a DM 800 HD PVR.I have saved all my channels and Bouquets from the DM 600 PVR using Dream Box Edit by Llama Ware. http://dreamboxedit.digsat.net/index.html

My question is that if I do upgrade to the new DM 800 HD PVR can I transfer 'easily' all my saved channels and Bouquets stored on my computer/network using the Dream Box Edit software or will I have to manually go through the individual satellites and channels with the handset and store all the bouquets and channels one at a time? I am unsure if the Dream Box Edit software is a compatible with both Dream Box systems. Ultimately, it would be great if I could just log into my new DM 800 HD PVR and load all the Bouquets and channels which I previously had and hey presto!

I am unable to find the answer anywhere so some expert advice would be most appreciated.

    Many thanks in advance.
    Regards.

    Hi All.
As I am very new to the world of DreamBox’s and I am sure the answer is out there somewhere I thought I would ask the question here, as I have no doubt that one of you can help steer me in the right direction.

I am after some software that will allow me to access and control my DM600 PVR from my laptop over the internet. As I spend a lot of time with work away from home in hotels I would like to be able to watch satellite TV on my laptop streamed from my DreamBox at home. I have an excellent internet connection (30mb download/3mb upload) at home, so I presume this will help.
I have seen a couple of postings on this forum titled ‘streaming’ but unfortunately they are not in English so I am unable to read them. Many thanks for ANY advice you can give to a novice about this.

    Dear m0rphU.

Thanks very much for your reply and information.

The DreamBoxEdit software has worked brilliantly. It did exactly what I needed it to do. The fact that I can now save all my channels to my computer is also a real bonus.

I am now thinking of upgrading to the DM 8000 HD PVR as adding and editing channels is so incredibly easy with the edit software especially now that all my Bouquets are safely stored on my computer.

Hats off to the developers of the software - Oh to be that clever!

    Hi All.

I have recently purchased the DREAMBOX DM600PVR and am extremely pleased with it. Unfortunately, I am at a loss regarding the adding of channels to the Bouquets, which is starting to take forever so I am hoping there is a much simpler and efficient way to do this than what I am currently doing.

I currently have to go through the list of channels and install them individually to the Bouquets via the setup/service organising menus. This in itself is not a problem but having three satellites connected with hundreds & hundreds of channels is a right pain having to individually store them.

Is there ANY way I can scroll through the channels whilst watching them and if there is a channel I like to add them to the Bouquets instead of having to go through the whole setup process trying to find the same channel on its respective satellite? Alternatively, is it possible to see the channel whilst adding the to my bouquets list?

    Many thanks in advance.
