Homers, you are right, no sound when using the HDMI output.

I think dream fixed the HDMI issue in the latest firmware, according the the changelog of v2.8.0:

Would be nice if someone of Dream or the moderator could mention this in this thread!

Now I wonder if the sound issue will/can be solved with a firmware update.

Then you have an additional serial (COM) port in windows. At this comport you can run a terminal program like the windows builtin hyperterm or better putty.

With Linux you can simply use minicom.. and when you connect the box via mini usb -> usb cable to PC you should get a new /dev/ttyUSBX.

Attached the bootlog as requested, as said, on scart the box works fine, with HDMI connected I get the bootlog attached. I tried with another HDMI cable (which works fine with my Asrock ion connected to the samsung).

I have the same problem, with HDMI connected the box does not boot. When I only connect scart, the box works fine. The 500hd is connected to a Samsung UE40B7000 LED LCD TV. Hope this issue will be solved soon....
