Mine turned out to be a fault main board, got sent back to manu and replaced, all fine now.

Well it got sent back and they had to put another main board in it. It all works correctly now

Are there certain hard drives that work with this box ?

Is there any support on this forum My box is 100% original and I have the same problems regardless of running your own image or other images.

I could understand no replies or problems with the box had I gone the cheap route and bought a clone.

Some body must have a similar problem or know of a solution ?

Ok I throw myself upto your vast knowledge.

I have an original DM800 which works fine, just the odd freeze up until recently I added a 320 gig western digital 2.5 hard drive.

The problem I have is that if I start to actually record something the max I have had it going is 10 mins then the box locks up, power out job to get it running again.

I've used a number of images , even tried images with bootloader 72 just in case.

I have a cooling fan on top of the box so I know it isnt a over heating issue.

I just can't get my head round why it stops working after 5-10 mins.

The box is coming upto a year old and I'm now even thinking is it a fault with the box.

Any ideas of other things I could try greatly appreciated.

Hi Chaps, hoping you can help me. It would appear that everytime I use my internal hard drive on the dm800, after around 16 mins the whole box will lock up

At first I thought it was maybe due to heat so bought a hard drive cooler and strapped it to the top of my box but no joy.

Has anyone else had a similar problem ? Time shift seems to work well enough.
