Hello to DMM developers, I want first to thank you because you implement some changes to the scanning, now RC release is able to scan all DishNetwork and BellExpressView channels, with some minor issues like the channels are recognized as TV in the TV but as data in lamedb (DreamBoxEdit)

That's because I bet you're using python to tell enigma what types are video insted of reasigning them to service type 1 upon scan like we did in pli. For that same dbedit reason.

I updated the service types that should be recognized as Data

    133, 134, 137, 140, 145, 146, 150, 154, 160, 163, 164, 165, 166, 167, 168, 173, 174

Check this out to better understand
Support for North american DM users?

    thanks a lot

    thanks for clearing this up
sounds good then, It's just weird than DMM don't say anything about upcoming 3D
    we'll wait and see

Every HD-Receiver is 3D-Ready if it already can display the side-by-side Signal.
The only advantage you have with an 3D-Update is the automatic switching of your TV to 3D-Mode (pseudo HDMI 1.4 via DVI?).
If you don't have this update you just have to switch your TV manually to 3D-Mode!

If there is no hardware capability, then I don't think, that DMM will keep back the function for the box.
Maybe it is just shown on the DM8k because it's DMM's "big one".

well, ALjazeera Sport has it's own 3D channel on 7W, It's advertising that It would work for JSC Sport subscribers via their Humax HD receiver, so why Humax HD which is non linux is 3D ready, but not DM800HD DM500HD !!! , at the same time DM8000HD is ready
I hope DMM will not be so silly and update the DM8000 only to boost their sales, well It's not a great strategy, few people will afford 3D HDTV anyways, so buying both 3D HDTV and DM8000 is very hard to achieve and will be limited to few people only

    You're joking, right?

no I'm not, why would they update one unit but no others, I don't think It's hardware capability, then they would update dm8000 and dm500HD but not DM800
I hope they will make themself clear and give some statements about 3D soon

    hello
some packages will launch new 3D channels soon, some channels are already available on 28.2E and 9E
is Dreambox capable of broadcasting 3D channels as it should? assuming that we have 3D Ready HDTV and 3D glasses?
    thank you

    Hello

will those be integrated into new DM500HD DM800HD DM8000HD ? when will be the first release?
Vu+Duo has already integrated BCM4506, I hope Dreambox will catch up

BCM4506 Dual DVB-S2 Advanced Modulation Satellite Receiver
The BCM4506 is a fully integrated dual satellite receiver single chip solution targeted at multi-tuner advanced modulation satellite receiver systems and ideally suited for new generation PVR-satellite receivers and integrated multi-function Home Media Centers.
The BCM4506 integrates dual CMOS tuners and dual advanced modulation decoders supporting DVB-S2, Broadcast, DVB-S, DIRECTV® and 8PSK Turbo applications.

The BCM4505 integrates a CMOS tuner and advanced modulation decoder supporting DVB-S2 Broadcast, DVB-S, DIRECTV®, and 8PSK Turbo applications. The highly integrated tuner section is based on existing volume-production Broadcom technologies and a direct-conversion technology to reduce external components and increase performance.
The BCM4505 is designed to support the full 1-45 Msps DVB operating range with support for 250 to 2150 MHz input frequencies.

    Thank you

will these 2 tuners work also with DM800?
i see that BCM4505 and BCM4506 support turbo 8PSK, here in NA Dish Network and Bell ExpressView broadcast with turbo-fec 8PSK and turbo-fec QPSK
it will be great to provide the same tuners for DM800 as well
