for your time... Are there things that i have to look for when i exchange the topfield for a dreambox 8000? Are there things wrong with some firmware numbers of something laike that?

We have finally decided to turn our back at the cable companies and switch over to satellite.

Our satellite supplier has sold us a topfield 7700 hd PVR. Machine looks nice, but there a troubles on the horizon: - bad network connection and limited posiibilities to download and controle the machine via lan.

We are still within our 8 day return time... I would like to know from all of you if it is worth it to change over to the dreambox 8000 HD PVR?

How are the network connection posibilities? Is it easy to copy programmes for the machine to computers? How are the plugins, can you tinker around with that? Can you setup the machine in lot's of ways?

Are there things that i should look out for?
