  • No Sound on Specific HD channels .

    OK I am testing this on the "Animal Planet HD Channel on 42E"


    When I click on the "Audio" I get a Pop-Up where it says :" 1 MPEG(English) " I choose it but there is no sound ,


    After running the first command :


    This is my output :




    What should be the second command because when I run ,"dvbsnoop -nph _n 10 0x20" I get nothing .

  • dm800 tuner switching problems

    I had /have like many other various minor dISEQC issues with DREAMBOX 800 , almost no one had these kind of issues with DM500/600/702X ,


    But now - every ones blames the diseqc , Use the new 9-1 V2 EMP-cz diseqc thay added a capasitor to help stable DM800 and Enigma 2 .


    I canfirm that switching to a higher quality diseqc like EMP or Spaun did make it work almost 100% and I am quite satisfied . :smiling_face:


    Also even if you use a diseqc 1.1 like EMP set it to Commited -Uncommited - Tone Burst , Seq diseqc mode to 1.1 and set Commited AA on all inputs and set the Un-commited to the actual sat input 1-8 also in the same window in set the Diseqc repeat to "One" and also play with the "Fast Diseqc" to YES .


    It gived me more stable Tuner and much better channel scanning many channels that only scanned manully now scan just fine with Auto scan .


    I found a way to edit# out the lines in the py file so it wont give me the "Tune failed / Sid / Pat" errors as most time even if I open an FTA channel


    Immediatly inder 0.1 sec I still get the varius tune errors and DM800 tunes just fine :astonished_face: , so now I dont need to close them .


    In my opinion the DM800 doesn't output enough power from the tuner for a regualr default setup , so checking if it works directly with 1 LNB


    Is not a good test as for one LNB it has enough power but who buy's DM800 to use with just one LNB ?


    How many have problem with their H-2-H motors not moving with the DM800 but work just fine with DM500/600/702x ?


    Most Diseqc need 80-100mA and most LNBs need 70-120mA AND H-2H motors need 250-300mA for start so in this case if your hardware uses the Max amper,


    You might have these kind of problem .

  • No Sound on Specific HD channels .

    Hello .


    I have a problem that I don't have sound on the
    HD channels of the D-SMART on 42E , I have marked in RED those that dont have sound only picture .


    Onky on the one channel I marked in blue All is ok ,

    I am connected with the original DM800 DVI-to-HDMI cable to my Pioneer PDP-4280XA HDMI input .
    Now from what I understand is that the Pioneer does not support AC3 with its HDMI inputs , so I choose in DM800 A/V Settings to "Down Converte AC3 to = YES" this works for all other channels that use AC3 sound in HD channels , but for these channels it doesn't work and I don't have sound , I am not sure if the sound on these HD channels in 42E are AC3 , but if they are why doesnt the DM800 down convert like all the other channels , if it isn't AC3 why can't I hear anything ?

  • HD channels on Thor 0.8'w

    I have the same problem and though some think its might be related to the Diseqc I don't think so , I have an EMP Centauri p.168v1 8/1 Diseqc , its not Spaun but no Chines cheap one either ,


    I done some reading in the forum and I think the problem is in the satellite.xml and that Enigma has somthing called autoupdate transponder or somthing that can't be disabled , I only have this problem with the HD channels on thor5 that the DM800 looses tune when I zap to an other HD channel on thor5 , even when it looses tune , and I zap to an SD channel on Thore5 "AXN Crime" it tunes without a problem . When I try to tune back to HD channel on Thor it doesn't work ,If I stay on one HD channel on thore and and reboot enigma it tunes to that channel - but when I zap from it it looses tune again even if I return to that channel again ,I think what we need it to add seperate , now I have thore and "1w" in the DM800 sat tuner menu , and I think it should be 0.8w , could it be that because it says 1w insted of 0.8w it won't work , I checked my sat XML file and 1w has also the frequencies of thor3/5 in there .


    Did any of you ever got it solved ?
