Hi,
I find playing avi-files more convenient via the PVR of the Dream 8000.
When I search for the avi on the internal disk all goes well.
Searching the avi's on the usbdisk. No find.
With telnet I can see the avi-files on the usbdisk.
Is this a non existent feature from PVR?
I mount the usbdisk in fstab with:
/dev/scsi/host2/bus0/target0/lun0/part1 /media/hddusb auto defaults 0 0
and made a map in /media/hddusb.
Can anybody help me out?

I have made it working:
In the file /etc/fstab new line:
/dev/scsi/host2/bus0/target0/lun0/part1 /media/hddusb auto defaults 0 0
In the map /media: make a map hddusb.
For a USB 2.5 inch You need 2 USB ports. One for data and one for supply (power). I use the 2 USB ports on the back of the box.
I have formatted the USBdisk as EXT3 and use the program Ext2 volume manager on my laptop to exchange files.
AS I remember on this moment the USB for data is the upper one. (Change it, if it does not work.).
Restart the DM8000. You can see the usbdisk in /media/hddusb.
I have a DVD and a internal disk connected.
I alo have a script for mounting and unmounting the Ussbdisk in xml-format for OpenPLI. If You want it, let me know.

I am new to satellite equipment. I just bought at Dm100 connected to 3lnbs through a 4x1 Diseqc 2.0 . I set the lnb's on Astra1,2 and Hotbird. The problem is that the Diseqc is not switching between the lnbs. Are there any particular settings I need to do ? Help will be muxh appreviated.

I use Astra 1 and Astra 3.
It is working well.
Go to Installation and antenne setup and put in:
Satelite: Astra 1C~1H,2C
DisceqC type: Diseqc 1
DisceQC 1.1: 1
Satelite: Astra 1E, 3A
DisceqC type: Disceqc 1
DisceqC 1.1: 2
For you I think:
Satelite: Astra 1C~1H,2C
DiseqC type: Diseqc 1
DisceQC 1.1: 3

Ich habe ein mononblock für Astra 1and Astra 3.
Ich habe ein dm8000 und ein dm100.
Folgendes passiert:
dm8000 und dm100 eingeschalted, beide boxen bild.
dm8000 eingeschalted und dm100 in standby, dm8000 kein bild.
Wieder dm100 eingeschalted, dm800o wieder bild. Dm100 in stanby, dm8000 kein bild. Dann spanning weg von dm100, dm8000 weder bild.
Kan es sein dass ein kurtzsluss gemacht wird von den dm100 auf den LNB?
Mit eine dm8000 und dm7020 habe ich keine problemen!
Ist da jemand der mich wieter helfen kann.
