But i have a small question. I use a 800, could you be kind and tell me where in your skin.xml i can remove "B"-"C"-"D" Tuner

The 800 dont have all does tuner as a 8000

Any of you using a universal remote for the dm800 ?

I have tried 3 universal until now and they all work on my dm500 + dm7020 and television, dvd and so on, but not on the dm800.

Are there any special things happening in the dm800 since its not working.

Im abit curious about why it work on all my boxes, tv and so on and not on the 800 ( universal remotes). `cause when i use the org. remotes from the 7020 or 800 both of them works perfect on both boxes.

What is so special that the 800 dont works on the universal. Is there something "hidden" behind the codes!!

If i take the org remote and point it to my datasampler it can read info out of it, but when i take the codes and put it in my universal it doesnt work on the 800 only on the 7020.

hmmmmm cant understand it, but maybe you can.

Any advise will be good

To all : what about a universal remote !!!
Someone got that working, tried a couples of the remotes from friends but no luck
The 7020 and 500 works perfect on them, but no "action" on the 800. This sound crazy in my head, `cause the orignal remote from DM works on all the DB`s but the universal remote only works on 7020,500 but not 800. HMMMMMMMM
Any reason for that or better way, a solution !!

As the subject says, i need to handle the dm800 remote control over the rs232.
Is it, and hopefully it is, possible to handle, examble the channel change and so on over the rs232 / usb2serial.
I need to control the box for my son without using the remotecontrol.
The same way as you can do by the webif over the lan.
And sorry no, its not possible for me to do it over the lan in this case here.
Hope you understand what i need !! Like the webif over lan,but over the rs232/usb2serial instead.
I got a software from a very good m8 from here (Gutemine) that handle the remote codes when you change channel in telnet it shows "codes,value". But i want it like this instead, when i type them in telnet i can get the 800 to do channel change and so on..

Hi Homey.

Thanks for the file, but sorry there where now "activ" running when i try change channel and so on in the telnet.
I putted it in /usr/bin and ch mod it to 755 and started it.

Have i missed something ??

I could use those remote info for a system i have in my house.

Or if there are others that knows it.

But i want to change the baudrate from 115200 to 19200.
How can i do that instead ?
I tried to remove the line so i only have "console=ttyS0,19200" standing there. But again the 800 "hang" under the boot by the line "/flash/vmlinux.gz"

Hope there are somebody out there that will use some time telling me about a line in bios.

When I go in the bios of the 800 and go into the “boot” there is a line “kernel command line”.
In this line its written “console=ttyS0,115200 ip=10.0.120.203 nfsroot=10.0.120.77:/home/tmbinc/target/mips root/dev/nfs rw”

The command “console” I know, but what about the “ip” and “nfsroot” ?
Properly its some ip from router/pc or the 800!! I don’t know but hope that someone does

Right now when I enable the line the box “hang” under the boot by the line “/flash/vmlinux.gz” and properly because the line is wrong.
When disable the line the box work perfect.
But I need to change the baudrate on the comport, so it has to be enable in my case.

I don’t know if those info could help : ip=192.168.1.6 undernetmask=255.255.255.0 gateway=192.168.1.1 and the dreambox ip=192.168.1.14

Hope there are somebody that can help me setup this line right.

If more info needed to set it up the ask please.

As written in "thema" i got one faulty ir.
Toke the display out and vupti then the soldering iron hit the 3 legs black ir, and now it doesnt work anymore :-(.

Please someone tell me what kind of ir it is, so i can buy a new one or better show me a place where i can buy it.

When i was looking through the 800 i saw there where no /dev/tts

have installed couple of image but all of them dont have /dev/tts

Anybody know why or better, how to install it.

Hope there are some good guys out there.

I will be happy if i could get a script or plugin where i can change the baudrate on the rs232 on the DM800

I need baudrate running on 38400 or 19200.
Using it up against a system that handle alarm, lights and so on in my house. And this box need one of the 2 baudrate.
Will be perfect `cause then i can have the DM800 on the same remote for everything in my house.
