seems they changed parameters, new params anyone ?

Another tip from me, you may of noticed that when you have edited your channel list with openDBedit etc, that the last line for ITV HD is altered in lamedb so the channel no longer works and you have to manually re-edit again.

Solution:

enter the last line in this re-arranged order and the settings won't be lost when saving with a channel editor.

Exactly same problem here but worse, I have 28.4 and 28.5 also which also can't be deleted.

After making the changes a normal restart is no good as the changes will be lost, you must either restart E2 or disconnect the power from the box.

also the above settings is only good for the newer satellites.xml which lists Astra2 as 28.4 degrees, my satellites.xml is older so still uses 28.2 so I had to change the 011c0000 to 011a0000.

It's not true, almost every other HD box can receive ITV HD with manual editing of the pids.

I think the fact of the matter is that the DM800 codec can not handle the H.222 wrapper of the H.264 encoding.

Come on devs, I guess it's not on your list of priorities to fix but please sort this one out or at least offer a reason why it can't be done.

It's getting embarassing now when crappy boxes like the Fortec Passion and the Humax 2000 can receive it

Anyone had any luck with ITV HD ?

Go to tuner configuration, select adavanced, select LNB, select diseqc1.2, where it says 'use usals for this sat' change to no

then will appear an extra setting where you can input your vbox positioner number. If you already know the number stored in your vbox for each sat then just enter the number and press ok to store.

If you want to find the sats and store position number then you will have to download the positioner plugin, I thinks there is also a satfinder plugin.

I always use logical position numbers in my vbox for eg, astra19.2 = pos number 19, 13e = 13, 28.2e = pos number 28 etc etc. Makes things alot easier.

It has nothing to do with downmix, to hear the problem you need to tune in to something other than German channels, eg, SkyUK, the problem does not exist with German channels!

Please can we have an ETA for a fix, for those of us who watch other than German this problen is getting very annoying now.

With SkyUK there is no point in changing to mepeg audio channel as this is the narratative audio track.

To add to the above:

BBC and ITV started a new service named Freesat

The reason ITV HD is hidden is because on official Freesat box ITV HD is only available as an interactive service via the red button.

This is so that during advertising breaks you will be switched back to local ITV.

As the said above most HD boxes are able now to handle this service.

Would be nice to see it on the 800 too

Further to the AC3 audio problem above.

I Know German provider AC3 is working well but for most other providers AC3 audio is terrible !

Hard to explain but the audio drops out but not completely so it sort of warbles. Like when there is a poor signal.

I live in the UK so you can guess provder there (SD and HD)

I also tried it on Spanish HD channel and thats exactly the same.

Of course BBC HD is no problem.

Unfortunately ITV HD is no go, I used dreamboxedit to lock the pids but only AC3 audio i'm afraid

I hope someone else has more luck and shares the solution.
