I have a setup where the new webinterface works fine in some cases but fails in others. I am using a DM8000.

I am accessing the box via my own apache2 server with a reverse proxy pointing to the DreamBox on my home network. This has worked for years with DM7025 webif and also works with old webif on DM8000..

• At home from PC on local network (192.168.0.xxx) all OK
• From internet in general, i.e. all public internet access points tried, all OK.
• But when accessing the interface from work, where there is a corporate firewall between the work-PC and the general internet, the interface does not work.

This last case worked fine with the old interface. So the old webif was "firewall friendly", which was great.

What happens is that the "TeleVision" and "Favourites (TV)" panes just have the "Loading" animated graphics, and the webif is otherwise not responding.

I suspect that the connection from browser scripts to dreambox is prevented by firewall.

I have tried with firefox and safari.

Is the connection between browser and dreambox made differently with new webif?

Are there any places to tweak to make the connection behave like the old webif (change port number or such)?

I would be willing to contribute with some tests to get this fixed.
