  • 500hd won't flash

    'Just got 500HD and have big problem.
    Burned succesfully 2.8.4 firmware with latest dreamup.
    Turned on reciver, configured all. And turned off from menu.
    After that reciver does not turns on... nothing on screen.



    But when i try to use any versions of dreamUP, it boots until "waiting for acknowledge " and then stops.
    Tried many times but nothing.
    What should i do? I heared that many people has such problem. Reciver is ORIGINAL.
    ANd of cource its impossible to change firmware by web-interface because reciver has no IP

    HDMI 1.3 will do 3D video, it doesnt have the bandwith to carry the true HD DTS audio or include the ethernet part of HDMI 1.4. As most people would want to use a seperate amp for their audio that shouldnt cause a problem. I have recorded a few programs on my DM 8000 from the UK Sky 3D channel but as I havent got a 3D display I can only see the split screen showing the pictures side by side for now. Hopefully by the time my current TV fails the price of 3D TVs will be more affordable and I will have a supply of 3D material ready to watch on it :smiling_face:

  • Blu-ray support on 3.0.x?

    We will wait standalone BD players support very much.
    As about 3D, as far as I understand - it is impossible, because there is hardware limitation in HDMI.
    Only HDMI 1.4 and HDMI 1.4a support 3D. But all DM8000 users has HDMI 1.3
    Right?

    Is there Blu-ray Optical disc drive support in new 3.0.x firmware based on OE1.6?


    I remember linux promised to consist Blu-ray support in summer.


    I'm tired to use double DVD-R discs to write HD movies - it is not enought.


    It will be perfect if we can burn BD-R discs on dm8000.
    Also whats about 3D format support?

  • DVD write and ADs cutter

    Hello everybody.


    Tired because of buggy ADs cutter. It is terrible. It is difficult for beginners. Anyway even bor me(expert) it is not comfortable.


    1. But the main problem that AD cutter does not work properly! I do everything like in instruction, but it cuts not, what I have choosed.


    2. If i insert double layer and size of video is 7gb(for example), anyway it says me that i must insert double layer, because this disc is is too little for this movie.

    When DVD-writing will work properly?


    ANd when blu-ray disc support will in dm?
