    The problem has nothing to do with DVB-T. It has something to do with receiving a signal on the reception threshold. That appears to hang the box.

    I use DVB-T and DVB-S in Arnhem Netherlands. Until June 6th it worked well. After June 6th the transmitter in Arnhem has been switched off and I have to rely on a transmitter in Nijmegen which is too far a way for good reception.

    Since June 6th my receiver hangs when I zap to DVB-T. Many other Dutch users appear to have similar problems on DVB-S during a rain storm.

    I opened a new thread (see Dreambox hangs when signal is poor ).

    The Dreambox 7025 tends to hang when receiving a poor signal. When the BER is high (e.g. due to heavy rain) the Dreambox will hang. If the BER becomes 0 again one will not get the picture back. If one zaps to another channel one does not get picture either. The only possibility to get picture again is the power switch.

    The problem occurs when the signal on the reception threshold. When it is far below (disconnected antenna) or strong there are no problems.

    There is a thread on a Dutch forum about this (see http://www.sat4all.com/forums/…300&page=0&fpart=all&vc=1 ).

    1) People using DVB-S as well as people using DVB-T have the problem;
    2) People using the original DreamBox images as well as people using hacker images have the problem;
    3) Updating the front processor from 2 to 7 does not matter.

    I do have similar problems. I have a 7025 with one DVB-S tuner and one DVB-T tuner. DVB-T reception is very poor in my region. Sometimes I have picture and sometimes not. If I zap through DVB-T it usually hangs after a minute or so. The screen is black. If I then zap back to DVB-S I have no picture at all. The only way to get the picture back is to reboot the box.

    On a Dutch board there are many similar complaints (in Dutch see http://www.sat4all.com/forums/…=&Search=true#Post1378220 ).

    I do have similar problems. I have a Dreambox 7025 with one DVB-S and one DVB-T tuner. Coverage of DVB-T is very poor in my area.

    If I tune to a DVB-S channel I have a good picture. Next I zap to a DVB-T channel which has poor coverage. The tuner tries to get in sync but gives up. Then I zap back to the DVB-S channel and I have no picture at all. I can zap further to other channels, and no picture. The only way to get a picture again is to reboot the box.

    It looks like the poor DVB-T signal messes something-up in the MPEG decoder from which only a reboot can recover.
