Hello, I am new to this forum. I had a digibox from sky which is not working anymore and now I have a DM500 with Gemini 3.40. I want to watch channels 4 and 5 or sky channels. Currently, I do not ive in the UK. Please Help.

I tried to download [Moderator] Your 'www'-Link is in violation of the Boardrules.[/Moderator]using the root.cramfs method uploading the image to the /tmp directory on my Dreambox via FTP, then renaming it to root.cramfs, then going to the setup menu of Dreambox, selecting Software Update and then manual update.

I followed the instruction and erased all personal settings of the previous image in the flash memory. Then the screen went blank with continued small flickering, I waited for 20 minutes and nothing happened. Then I tried to reset or switch off the deambox but it didn’t work either then I removed the power cable and after few minutes reconnected it then nothing happened and again screen was blank with continued small flickering.

Could anybody tell me what happened and what I should do next please. Is my dreambox is ruined?
