  • dm8000 psu problem ?

    Hi


    i have a ~3month old dm8000 that has started to act up , setup is S2+S2+C+C 1,5Tb HDD +DVD player .



    in the start it usually crasher when strating a timered recording , (hdd plays recorded files just fine) then it started to crash even on instant recording .


    oyher symptom is that when choosing reboot from UI it just crasher totaly , need to switsh I/O swits few times to get it to boot . E2 reboot works just fine .



    started to check what might be the problem , i fisrt remover the dvd player (no help just the same) then HDD (no help still same) reboot funktion just kills the box totally




    now does this sound like a PSU problem or something else ? pls give opinions



    P.S box did work perfectly when i reseaved it and upto 1month ago.


    im hoping i dont haveto send the hole damn box to germany , would like to get a new PSU first and c if its the problem

  • Cable reaceaving problem on new images ?

    for those whom are having problems receaving cable channels in FINLAND , this is a fix i found working for my 7025c+s , i just replased the newest dvb drivers with this one


    now the method works like this u u take a backup off cu1216mk3.ko in
    /lib/modules/2.6.12.6/extra/


    and the replase it with this one
    cu1216mk3.ko


    then reboot ur DB , sometimes it goes perfectly the first time and other times u need to do this a couple of times

    or buy a Kathrein UFS910SI DVB-S , it has some off the fanzy same features as DB , whit a alternativ firmware

  • Jtaging problem with windows

    anybody know from this log, that is the problem a bad solder or just that im trieing to jtag a a dm7000 in windows

    the deal in here is i mistakenly bought a Intel Flash TE28F640 with a Dbox2 bootloader inside now im thinking is the bootloader in the chip fucking with me or did i just do a shitty soldering :face_with_tongue:

    -Original image (did not work)
    -DM7025 R2.3 2007.09.27 Official CVS_070927 2007.10.07 (did not work)
    -non of the newer original/thirdparty/CVS have worked


    all of the abow i got to work whit cable after i replased the cu1216mk3.ko from a earlier CVS


    -This one worked right away whitout any modification
    -Enigma2 CVS from 2007-06-29


    for some strange reason up to (cable driver)?cu1216mk3.ko from 29.10.2007<- this still works.. i reseaved all cable channels whitout any glitshes/freezes. all dreambox-dvb-modules-dm7025-2.6.12.6-20071106-gcc4.1 to this point havent worked correctly this is a problem that alot of FINNISH ppl are having,firstly we tried just copying the older drivers from 29.10.2007 and that did the job . but from today i got a bit frustrated and just loaded the newest drivers in andjust used the old cu1216mk3.ko ... and then it works perfectly again , whats has changed in the new drivers and why ?
