I have not updated the box for a while and I notice that I am still using the 2011 firmware.

Has there been any development for the DM7025+ as it is over 4 years now?

The High BER value is seen by the box. I have just resetted the box to factory defaults, did a new scan but than it does not scan anything from Hispasat as that is not locked.

If I do a manual scan and select Single transponder for the Hispasat 2 (30W) and I put it at Frecuency 10890 V, 27500, 3/4 it finds only 10 channels, so the channels I had mentioned before. If I do a full scan on the complete Hispasat it does not find anything.

Doing the same manual scan but then with different frequencies nothing is found.

I still find it strange that it finds 10 channels on the manual scan, since it is not locked.

It should find more channels on more transponders for Europe on the Hispasat, see http://www.lyngsat.com/Hispasat-1C-1D-1E.html

I thought that setting this back would be easy, using the above mentioned tools, but these are of no use as it sees only these 10 channels with a very good value, but apparently this is not the correct position as the box does not lock to the Hispasat.

If I have some time tomorrow I will give it a new try, as today I already spent a very long time changing and turning the dish, the lnbs, checked that the cable is correctly inserted in the lnb.

What I don't understand is, as both tools used to set up the dish [Engima Signal Meter and OneStep Satfinder Pro 0.0.9] show that the Hispasat 2 has this value: SNR: 80%, db 12.10, BER: 0, AGC 90% and I can watch some of the channels on the Hispasat 2, why is it not locking on the box itself.

Is this value SNR: 80%, db 12.10, BER: 0, AGC 90% still too low?

    Hi @ll.

I have the following issue that the Dreambox won’t lock to the Hispasat 2, 30.0W.

I have two dishes, one with Hotbird 13 E, Astra 19.2E and Astra 28.2E and a second dish with Hispasat.

We have recently had the house painted and the painters had removed the dish with Hispasat. Now I have connected that dish again, but whatever I do it does not lock.

Therefore I cannot add new channels to the Hispasat, but I can still watch in good quality some of the channels from the Hispasat that were already in my bouquet like: EHS, Feeds 1 TSA, Feeds 2 TSA, Feeds 3 TSA, Feeds 4 TSA, Iberalia, Parlamento, Telesur and TV Record.

I have used both Engima Signal Meter and OneStep Satfinder Pro 0.0.9 to set the dish up

If I check the position of the dish it seems to be correct according to the results these two programs display.

On the Hispasat 2, I get values of SNR: 80% db 12.10 BER: 0 AGC 90%

And these are the values I get when looking to e.g: Iberalia, Telesur, etc.

But still if I go to the Dreambox to Satfinder, the Hispasat does not get the checkmark at Lock, while the other 3 satellites do.

    It shows there SNR 0%

    BER: 49344

I see that I can tune and select Manual transponder or Predefined transponder, but that does not makes a difference.

So why does it shows a good value and I can see still watch some of the Hispasat channels while it does not lock and therefore I cannot add more channels or search for more.

Do you have any idea where to look and how to fix this?

Yep, this morning same problem again.

I have called the Technical Support line of Dream Multimedia and they mention that I need the conversion kit powersupply 7025+ which costs 53 euros, but then you should know how to build it in correctly, or send them the box and then it costs 90 euros inclusive shipping it back to me. Takes about 10 days.

I will go for the last option as I prefer that skilled people work on the box as with my two left hands fixing it myself is no option.

I think that best time to ship it should be next year as now with the holiday season no one will work on it and then the 10 days will increase.

    Hi @ll,

I have the following problem, which started about 4 days ago. The box does not boot after it was put in Deep standby.

The display goes on, but there is no boot menu, nor is there the usual sound that the hard disk makes during the boot. The display remains then on, but only in blank, so nothing written in the display, and if you click on the power button it goes off, and if you click again on the power button the display goes on again, but that is the only thing it does. It still does not boot.

After removing it from power and waiting some time and switching it on and off several times on, it suddenly booted.

Today it started again with the same behaviour, after switching it on it only showed again the display only but no boot. After several switch on, switch off, using also the interrupt button at the back of the box, after about 10 minutes it showed the boot menu and the box booted.

So my question is now, what is wrong with the box?

Why does it not boot when switched on and only after several attempts, using the button at the back of the box it finally boots?

When I saw the problem 4 days ago, I thought maybe the software needed an update, so upgraded to the box to the latest firmware:

    Enigma 2010-12-16-3.0

    Image: Release 3.0.3 20q0-12-16

But still today I had the same problem back, so this is more a hardware problem.

    What should I do?

[Update] The box is 4 years old now, was purchased in December 2006.

Am I the only one that cannot fast forward a recording higher then 8x with release 2.6.2?

Does anyone has that build installed on the box? Could you check if you can fastforward a recording made with build 2.6.2 with a speed higer then 8x, as I get a black screen and it seems to hang.

Otherwise I will have to downgrade this weekend again.

    Grtz. Bally

I have upgraded the box this weekend to release-dm7025_2.6.2. and the following occurs now. Recordings made with this new version I cannot fast forward. I can forward maximum up to 8 speed. If I try anything higher the screen turns black and then it freezes. If I lower the speed back to 8x then it runs again. The recording is aproximate 45 minutes.

Strange enough recordings made with the previous build can fast forward normally.

Is this a bug or a feature?

    Can it be fixed?

Hi Murray, I don't understand. How come it is not possible? I have used it in the past when updating or upgrading from the previous version to the new one, using the update plugin. I believe I have done that two times already. What is the use then of the Softwareupdate function?

Should the 2.5 be installed via the web-browser?

BTW, is 2.5 a final version?

Hi a question on this Release 2.5 vom 10.9.2009 is it already final as it is not available via Softwareupdate on the dreambox. Will it be released via the Softwareupdate? My box still has rel24-Sept 24 2008. I have been checking regularly via the Softwareupdate but no new packages are found.

Hi I just noticed today that the dreambox 7025 is 13 minutes behind the real time.

It doesn't matter which channel I watch.

    Rebooted the dreambox.
Switched it off completely, but still no go.

Latest firmware is on the box.

How can I set the time on it, as I can only change the location?

    Hi Olove,

I thought that the Beta versions one had to download them and do the upgrade manually. This version I upgraded via the box itself, as if it were the live update from Microsoft.

Strange that Beta versions are distributed this way, without any warning.

Beta versions should not be distributed automatically.

Do you know if there is a list to see all the updates and new stuff available.

    Grtz. Bally

I think that this firmware is already original as when I did a Software update on the dreambox about an hour ago it started to upgrade my box to Enigma: Tenigma2 rel24-May 1 2008.

Nice icons when you go to Menu.

Looks pritty okay. On the frontpage of Dreammultimedia I can't find any information about it, nor about the mayor enhancements.

    Grtz. Bally

Please provide some information about the hard- and software used.

    Box type: Dreambox 7025
    GUI (enigma1/enigma2): Enigma v 2.2-2006-11-06
    Firmware version:Release 2.2 from 26.03.2007

    your question
I have noticed that after a clean scan searching for new channels, with the option "Clear before scan", some of my channels that I have in the favourites give an error message saying: “No free tuner!”

Why is that? Does it means that the dreambox is full, I thought it could take unlimited channels.

How come there is no free tuner?

At the last scan it found:
    1303 on the Astra 19
    1880 on Hotbird 13
    1152 on Astra 29

    Total: 4335

Have you also seen this message and how do you fix it?

    Thanx Bally

Okay I finally got it working by using the instruction from this link USB - Stick an 7025, Was ist zu tun ? USB - Stick an 7025, Was ist zu tun ?

Don't ask me what I did, I just copied and paste the instructions in Telnet and then I could format the usb key with Flashwizard and made a backup of the full/etc directory.

Thanks all for pointing me in the correct direction.

The problem is that most of the postings are in German, and let us say that I never received any German class.

How come there is no FAQ of these types of issues in English?

Now I still don't know if my box is faulty or if it is just a configuration problem.
