Hi, ppl I have Dreanbox DM 7025 and I need to reset it to factory settings . But there are no sub-menue to show how to reset to factory settings . Even in the receiver user's manual there are nothing to tell how to do factory setting .
Please show me what are the precdure to do reseting the receiver to factory settings

I am desperately hoping that an expert out there can help me yet again.
I have a DM 800 HD PVR. All was working well receiving signals from Hotbird, NileSat and ArabSat. Unfortunately, when I now go to rescan the satellites either automatically or manually the box scans the satellites and then when it has completed the scan crashes and reboots with the green screen of death.
It appears that the common error is that there is not enough space left on the internal memory. I do not have an external drive connected to the box. I did look at the file manager and there are a couple of files of TV programmes which add up to about 18Mgb. I have tried many times to delete these files but they just will not delete. I have a suspicion that this is the cause of me not being able to rescan the channels as this has only started happening when I ‘accidently’ recorded a few moments of a tv program into the internal DM memory.
I have attached the crash logs from when I try to upload the new channel scan etc. If ANYONE can sort this for me they will be a God in my household! Even information on how to delete the programmes which are stored in the memory would be a start as deleting them in the normal way does not remove them regardless of what I try. It appears that my troubles started when I recorded a few minutes of a TV program straight to the internal memory of the box. As mentioned, I am unable to delete this recording and so am lost as to what to do next.
I can also access my DM via my network and can see the programme listed under timer. I can download it from my DM box to my computer on the network. However, even when I try to delete it remotely via the PC it says it is deleted it still remains on the DM. Even when I put the DM in a Deepstandby remotely, the DM starts to go in to a deep shut down mode then reboots after 10 seconds with the green screen of death again. I really have no idea what its doing..
I am sure I am missing something obvious but I am dreading to flash the box with new software etc or something technical that needs to be done to the box as this is well beyond my technical ability.
The box IS a genuine DreamBox so I am hoping this will be a common event? Many thanks in advance.

Hi, ppl I just bought a brand new Dreambox 800 HD PVR ( 250 GB ) on May 13 2010 after one month I had
this Software problem when I try to operate the receiver - This message comes on a green screen
this is the message :- " We are realy sorry your dreambox encountered a software problem and needs to be
restarted . Please send the logfile created in /tmp / to ....
your dreambox restarts in 10 seconds
Component : enigam 2 "
Please can you tell me how to fix this software problem ?

Regarding Models DM 7080 and DM 7085 I have a copy in my computer of their spec from the net where DM 7080 is one tuner
and DM 7085 twin tuners + HDD . but I did not see them in the market
But the models DM 8080 and DM 8085 I did not see them at all in the net just I am asking are they came after the Model DM 8000 .

Hi , ppl as far as I know for tihe last two years the newest model is Dreambox DM 7025 available in the market , But are these two models Dreambox DM 7080 and Dreambox DM 7085 not released or are they discontinued manufacturing , looking at Dreambox mulimedia web site the newest model is Dreambox DM 8000 , then are there other models after Dreambox DM 8000 , like Dreambox DM 8080 and DM 8085 .
Please advice what actualy the latest model available in the market ?
Any thought you would have be greatly appreciated .

You said " if you delete a channel " You can not delete channels in this receiver - only remove channels from favourites list and they remain in the main list . I need to delete them completely from the main list .
What is the use of staking unwanted channels in the main list

You said " That is not possible " How come this receiver does not have a delete function all satellite receivers I have used before such as Humax 5400, Humax PVR 8000 , Echostar 3600 , Kaon KVR 1000 plus , Even the cheap chineese receivers all these receivers have delete function , I wonder how come this Dreambox 7025 which more advanceed with 300 MHz MIPS Processor which I consider it a computerized machine does not have delete function . Please give your comments on the subject .

Adding channels to Favourites ( blue ) by pressing menu button and selecting ( add service to favourites ) it will add channels to favourites list . But when you go to Favourites List and highlight the channel I want to delete by pressing Menu a sub-menu comes with four selections :-
1 - add serivce to favourites
2 - remove service
3 - enable move mode
4 - enable favourite edit
By selecting # 2 remove service it will remove channels from the favourites list only But not from the main list still the channels there I need to delete them from the main list . Please advice

You probably have the standby-Settig for the LCD complete dark. That's why you can't see anithing in the LCD. But that doesn't mean, the Box is off.
Try shutdown the Box from the Main-Menu (Standby-Restart)

The LCD is white I can see channel name on the LCD when I turned off the receiver it becomes black i.e. off that means the standby-setting is not set for complete dark .

I guess you only send the receiver to standby mode that's why the settings get lost when you unplug it. Press the TurnOff Button on the RC for some seconds until the receiver really shuts down. If the LCD is off you can unplug it.

Actually what you saying is what I am doing , First I turn off the receiver by the Turnoff Button on the RC and I leave it for some hours not some seconds and the LCD is off and when I leave the room I unplug it from the wall , That is what I am doing , what is the problem then , please advice .

Then I do Autoscan for all channels for all eight satellites ,and received all the channels . But my problem is when I turn off the receiver by remote control and also turn off the AC power from the wall , And when I come back and turn the AC power on from the wall and turn the receiver on from the remote control I found that all my configuration for the above satellites dissapeared and returned to the old settings from factory , all channels still there but no satellites names mentioned above . Why this receiver does not save my settings ?

Hi , ppl please advice how to delete , edit and rename channels I can not find any information written in the user manual provided with the dreambox 7025 can anybody who owns this receiver tell me how to do that because even on the remote control does not show any buttons for delete , edit and rename .

Thanks floh for reply - I read all the posts in the website you mentioned above , in which some people having problems with c-band and they did not reached to any solutions to the problem , Actually I need solution from engineers and developers of the Dreambox manufucturing company to address the problem - But I do not know which section or department in the Dreambox company to send my questions regarding the problem of programming c-band in the Dreambox 7025 .

I used Automatic Scan when the scan finished I got all the Ku channels of all three Ku- satellites ( Hotbird , Nilesat and Arabsat ) except the fourth satellite Asiasat 3S which is C-band LNB No channels received , What is the problem Please Advice ?

Hi, ppl I am connecting the output of a DiSEqC switch to Tuner 1
the inputs of the DiSEqC switch are No.1 Hotbird , No.2 Nilesat
No.3 Arabsat ,No.4 Asiasat 3S
The fourth input No.4 Asiasat 3S LNB is a C-Band for C-Band channels
I received all Ku-band Channels for all satellites Hotbird , Nilesat and Arabsat which are all Ku-Band channels except the channels from Asisat 3S satellite which are C-Band channels . Please advice
