    Hi

I wonder if DM800HD is able to process the HE-AAC sound, that is being transmitted with the MPEG4 DVB-T signal from the Boxer TV provider in Denmark.... Does anyone in here have knowledge whether it works or not ?

    Hi

I got my box back from repair (it got a new power-supply)... But now another problem shows up.... Sometimes the DVB-T pictures freezes... If I check the signal level/quality, it drops to 0-10% SNR and BER over 15000 .. often it returns to 88-98% SNR - and BER 0 (AGC 50%) ...
Before, the SNR was constantly on approx 98% ... I wonder why it suddenly has started to act like this...
My TV (which also has a DVB-T receiver) does not have this problem with a freezing picture - so I'm pretty sure, that the problem is related to the DM7025 box...

Have anyone else observed a similar problem ?

I do have similar problems. I have a Dreambox 7025 with one DVB-S and one DVB-T tuner. Coverage of DVB-T is very poor in my area.

If I tune to a DVB-S channel I have a good picture. Next I zap to a DVB-T channel which has poor coverage. The tuner tries to get in sync but gives up. Then I zap back to the DVB-S channel and I have no picture at all. I can zap further to other channels, and no picture. The only way to get a picture again is to reboot the box.

It looks like the poor DVB-T signal messes something-up in the MPEG decoder from which only a reboot can recover.

The indicator for SNR (signal strength) on my DVB-T receiver says 99% - don't know if it can be used for anything (if it actually reports something like the signal quality/strength). But my TV has also built-in DVB-T, and it has no problems with the DVB-T signal.
I suspect, that the issue is related to the power-supply. - My box has been sent back to the dealer for testing/repair. Hopefully they will change the PSU, so the box gets working again...

    Hi.

Sorry for answering in English - my writing German is not very good.

The setup you have is a 2 LNB setup for each tuner. So if your LNB's are connected correctly to the MultiSwitch, then you should configure the tuner (DVB-S) in the dreambox for a DiSEqC A/B setup (since it will only be able to see 2 LNB's - one for Astra, and another for Hotbird)
If you have 2 DVB-S tuners in your 7025, configure both tuners for DiSEqC A/B

The LNB's should be connected to the SAT System A and B inputs. Make sure, that you connect the LNB's correctly - each LNB should have an output for the corresponding input on the multiswitch - that is Low Band, Horizontal and Vertial - and High Band, Horizontal and Vertial.

What brand/model are the LNB's ? Make sure, that it isn't the model to be connected to 4 SAT-receivers - but that it is intended to be used in a multiswitch setup.

I've tried to install the original Enigma2 image from Dream Multimedia - same problem (have been running [Moderator] Image is in violation of the Boardrules [/Moderator]otherwise)...

Is your TV Panasonic? If so, have look at this thread flickerfix

No - mine is a 32" Philips LCD TV .... But it is not only the SCART signal, that disappears - also the signal on the Phono-plugs - and the picture on the UHF modulator (which is distributed to another TV in my home)

I seem to have the same problem with my 7025
I can see all menus, all OSD's messages etc and change channels too, but I cannot get any picture/sound from satellites. Is your case exactly the same or do you loose all signal from Scart?

No the exact same problem. I loose picture and sound on SCART and on the phono-plugs. I tried to remove my harddisk from the box, but that didn't solve the problem.
The problem often occur if I swicth to a channel on my DVB-T tuner after have been watching a SAT-channel for e..g 15-20 minutes... After 30-120 seconds I get a blank picture on my TV - and no sound..

I bought the DM7025-ST at HM Sat Shop (Germany) - I believe I should return the box to them, and then they will take care of it ??
I've tried to send an email to Dream Multimedia support - but it doesn't seem like they are very fast at answering...

On the other hand - sending it to Germany with proper insurance might as well be just as expensive to order a new power-supply...

I can see, that I can order a new power supply at hm-sat-shop - but how can I make sure that I'm getting a new version PSU (and that it isn't the old version) ? - Are there any way to spot the difference between the two versions ?

    Hi!

Approx. 1 year ago I bought my DM7025, and have been quite satisfied with it... But a couple of weeks ago, it started to suddenly loose the picture (and sound!) on my TV ?? Both the SCART output and the output on the Phono connectors are blank/quiet.
The box seems to run okay, I can SSH to it, the web interface is working - streaming to VLC is working...

A way to get the picture back, is to power off/on the box (doing it on the remote control is sufficient)....

Could this be a thermal problem ? I've tried to "feel" the temperature on the box, and it seems quite warm on the left side (where the PSU is located), and a warm in the middle (just over where the HDD is located).

Any ideas on what to do ?? The DM7025 has apporx. 8 cm of free air above it, so the heat should be able to get away. The receiver is located on a glass shelf (which is approx. 5 cm over my AV receiver). This setup has been working without problems until a couple of weeks ago...

    Hi.

Yes, I was trying to add a timer manually - but it seems like there is an issue when the box is trying to load the complete channel-list (3500-4000 channels)... Maybe this caused parts of the software to crash ?

    Hi.

Today, during a timer-initiated recording, the 7025 suddenly stopped responding to the remote control. I could access the box via telnet and FTP, and the timer-initiated recording was still running (and I also watched the program at the same time). I noticed, though, that the clock in the LCD display wasn't updated (the box was recording from 20:11 to 22:50 - the clock stopped updating about 20:50)

Is there a way of investigating a logfile or similar if it happens again ? - Just to give a clue of what exactly has gone wrong...

A "killall -9 enigma2" made the box run respond to the remote control again...

    Hi.

One simple question - does anyone know, if the PDC signal also is transmitted on the channels received by DVB-S ?

    More info on http://pdc.ro.nu/

If yes, are there any plans to support PDC via timer recording in the firmware ?

    Hi!

I just got a recent snapshot from CVS where the DVB subtitling has been built into the Enigma 2 interface... I'm not quite satisfied with the choice of font and the size of the font..
Can this be mofified via a file in /etc or similar ?

    Hi

When I have added (or am trying to add) a timer event to record a program, everything looks fine - except for the dates.. The are presented like:

    3. september %Å

(running Danish language). I think it looks like an Å, but I'm not sure.
